I know nobody cares who is probably listening to this, but I am re-watching the old space opera Babylon 5? There is a species of aliens that basically sell themselves out a bigger, scarier alien species (literally called "The Shadows") in order to reclaim their former glory days of colonization. One character in particular basically sells his soul to the devil for it. This song reminds me of it a lot. D:
