Hmm could just be something from before she bacame a nikke. Maybe she was treated like less of a human but seeing you treat nikke who aren't human too alot like normal girls and care for them. Might of just flipped something

And crow remembers doing it..but those that don't remember is either blocking it like pepper to hid her guilt or poli who got so injured some of her memories got scrambled she remmebers eventual though.
It's probably the same shit that's been going on or is implied to be happening: being treated like disposable resources and their commanders being assholes about it.

Pepper does have some knowledge that she did something before she became a Nikke, in fact the moment she caused Mary to be on the path to being a Nikke herself. I've yet to get Poli, so not entirely sure just what hell she's been through.. DESPITE THEM ALL BEING TREMENDOUSLY POWERFUL, all I wanna do is protect them. Other than Crow and Ether..
It's a bit depressing that a lot of Nikkes are only going with the Commander's flow. I can't blame them since the shit that the Ark put them through doesn't help them at all... but they're very lucky to meet him... more or less.
Hmm I think it's the opposite. As the commander is litterally just us. He's a gamer and anime nerd. Even eats junk food and play games. It's more like he is what they all need. He's the normal in a world filled with uncertainty. He's or you are there normality as you treat them as human a gf and daughter or a friend.

I actually have a theory about Isabel, and why she's so deeply in love with us. My theory is that back when she was a Nikke for the Ark, she actually was assigned to a Commander who was decent to Nikkes and fell in love with her, and her with him. They'd act very romantic with each other, her Commander even vowing to marry her when their service was over. However, he ended up being killed on a mission, leaving her heartbroken, which only got worse when their superiors blamed her for his death, given that it was her job as a Nikke to protect him. With no other Commander to love her as her old one did, no one to leave, and now stuck in an actively hostile Ark, Isabel left, and eventually found Eden. That could be why she's so attached to us, he reminds her of her old Commander, and she's superimposing her feelings for her dead lover onto him and wants to do whatever she can to have that ideal married life she'd hoped for.
I cant argue this theory at the moment but i give credit that this might be 100% true we dont know much about inherit squad(excluding dorothy cuz after the ark betrayed the goddess squad she quit her position as a leader and the goddesses fell apart with each one of them having a goal on the surface until either one of them found a clue about the rapture queen ending the chaos once and for all.She might also suffered a mind switch if your theory is correct after her old commander death and now if Isabel sees you flirting or someone else flirting with you she gets extremely jealous to the point where she will actually kill if necessary.I wonder what was Isabel,Harran and Noah background before joining Eden and Dorothy in her new founded squad.So far we know Noah joined recently(confirmed in chapter 21).Another thing is if Noah joined last that could mean 2 more things:1.that Eden is producing Pilgrims(most likely Isabel and Harran too unless it was the same case as Rapi and Scarlet before the rapture invasion they were mass produced Nikkes that upgraded themselves to not look mass produced anymore(Scarlet case cuz Red Hood and Rapi shared the same body until the end of chapter 26)or 2.She was a Nikke wandering the surface until she stumbled upon Eden and Dorothy brought her in.All 3 of them(Isabel,Harran and Noah)are very mysterious cuz we dont know much about them during the first rapture invasion and the event where the ark was sealed.

Viper tells Crow during chapter 24 that she sees the commander as her toy(even in her bond story)but at the end of the chapter 24 she admits that she's fallen for him making Crow kinda mad responding to her:At last the venomous snake has been poisoned.Only after her bomb collar was activated as soon as the commander rushed in to take it off Viper realised that he cared about her more than anyone and she pushed him away before the explosion however cuz of his action Viper survives the explosion but gets reconstructed because of the commander action by grabbing the collar the explosion destroyed her body but barely missed the brain(which is CRUCIAL for a nikke to survive)and after she reunites with Jackal she tells her that he saved her life by doing so and that she is in debt to him and loves him even more
