This was the best Lecture so far. Something that seems almost harmless has great consequences. It is a lesson for current times. Thank you so much for sharing your
    time and analysis with us.

She is amazing, savoring every word she speaks. Perhaps the most effective lecturer so far.

Thank you Dr Fletch I enjoyed your explanation of Canto 18, both the delivery and the content. You helped me to better understand the seriousness of the sins of the mind, particularly those of seduction and flattery.

This is the best commentary yet! Poignant application and Dantesque in presentation! (Note: my comment is not a poopy flattery...)

Dr Susan you are just remarkable. You are a marvellous teacher. I could listen to you endlessly. You are a treasure and I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m from India 🇮🇳 and so grateful for this endeavour.

What a fantastic presentation! I have always enjoyed the "flatterers" bolgia because it was just so....visual and perfect. But I never understood why Dante paired them with the Pimps/seductresses in the canto. Dr. Felch does an excellent job explaining the "contrapasso" of the the sins. And she is JUST SO AWESOME in describing...well...Sh*t. Brava!

At the risk of being considered a flatterer, I have to say that I'd really enjoy a Full Series about Dante's Divine Comedy with Professor & Dr. Felch. Her deep, multi-layered analysis and overall presentation is refreshingly thought-provoking.
And she's the best lecturer of this series.

Mastery of material. Such expression, pace, and animation. Sucked and swirled downward and then wallowing in the excrement. Brilliant presentation!! Thank you.

On my own I would have breezed past this canto with some confusion, but you have revealed it to be one of the more interesting and important cantos thus far. Thank you for this extremely insightful presentation! Seems especially poignant in today's society and for me, it highlights the cruciality of knowing and holding to the one true Word.

(And I noted from info about her that one of her favorite books is Say You're One of Them, one of my favorites. I'd love to hear her talk on it. )

Enjoyed this one more than all the rest. Flattery is shit. But the words on pimping and seduction are chilling in the light of modern trafficking.

I don't understand the comments about swearing. It's not really a personality choice; she's quoting the Canto. My translation also has a swear word at 116.

Think of how much better this presentation could be, if it just used grown-up words like dung or excrement, instead of "s**t" and "poo."
