Who would think of camping in a red tent😉madness😂 Another great coastal camp. Brilliant views..looked a really lovely spot. Drone shots captured the beauty of the place. Thanks for sharing👍
Here's an idea Dave. How about a montage of drone shots from your various hikes and camps? Couple that with your excellent taste in music, (best of any camping channel imo). About 20 -30 minutes long it'd be a winning ASMR! Go on, I dare you! And crikey! That's what you call a 'coastal path'!
Thaught of doing this myself a fair few times cuz i have tuns of footage from before I started the vlogging that u havnt published at all from all the munros. Dave totally should do this too it would be awsome mate xx
New tent looks alreet, very much reminds me of my Vango Mirage pro 200 my very first Wildcamping tent. Solid as a rock but have to double up on the weetabix before you take it out. nice spot for a camp. 🌊
Brilliant that Dave thoroughly enjoyed it,I have a Berghaus tent of the same colour in my collection, mines the tunnel tent version..I've had it everywhere here in the Lake District & all over Scotland on the high peaks & everything below,it's never failed me yet, always kept me dry,no condensation ever, stood up to whatever the weather has thrown at it,like you I switched the pegs to better ones but otherwise it's still as good as new 6 years on..I love the blackout inner too,it's great not knowing it's daylight outside of a morning, can sleep that little bit longer 😁
I know the post is a bit old now but I have a Brecon 2, which i used with my son (12) on a 2 nighter in August 23, so probably same sort of time you were there, We were at a site near Clapham NY, easy to put up, spacious and was tested with a nasty overnight downpour. Dry as a bone inside (i did Nikwax it beforehand though). I loved the scenery and marked where you were in the hope i could one day take my lad somewhere like that - he'd love it! First time i've watched one of your vids and it was class. Gonna watch some more. ATB Steve
Hey ho. Evgenia here. Go Summit Solo. David mentioned your comment today to me x thaught id sneak out a little secret. Actually a video I plan to do on my recovery to being strongly again back out on the hills. Summit camping. Ross Cliffs are a stunner of a camp. Make sure u walk to the end of them there is a specific spectacular view point to pitch infront of. It certainly stands out from the rest. Being im from Kirkcudbright. I know these places bck to front. By far my favourite to pitch at the moment xx little idea Its looking over to the highest point of the Cliffs. 😊
D&G is one of the most beautiful and less visited areas of Scotland and the U.K. As for the tent....I'd give anything to be out there in any tent right now, given these recurring injuries I keep getting! So enjoy it all.
Kelvin, I'm with ya. Showed dave this cuz its one of my favourite childhood places. Truely stunning. Now I'm injured too since may till this Feb coming 😂 feel or u im with you
Another great vid Dave. Regarding your previous post, I think it's great you've found someone to share your adventures with. Being happy is way more important than number of views. What's your friends channel called, I'd like to see her vlogs too. Keep up the great work 👍
different style of video from the mountain camps, but heartwarming all the same. just goes to show if you open your horizons what pitches are there for the taking. must have been a little worrying for yourself when your camp mate says with joy "ohh ive just seen lightning" settles the nerves when camping, a line such as that! the drone shot along the cliffs with the sun on the horizon was breathtaking. the tent looks great value for money, given the purpose you intend it for.
Yeah, in the positive side the injuries have forced us to look at alternative pitches and we’ve visited some stunning places. Glad you enjoyed it Gary 👍. ATB
Again some stunning footage and a great spot.ive often looked at the Berghaus tents and thought they look great rhe quality should be ok with it being Berghaus ive just found them a little on the heavy side for 3 season use i dont mind the weight for a 4 season tent tho also be great if they did them in green
Not a hilleberg mate but they are decent tents for the price , I had a peak 3.2 for years and done me well , traded it in on TN for the southern cross 1 , got 30% off , but yea berghaus not bad tents mate 👍 loved the location , on the list 👌
Hey Dave that was really cool. Very nice place for a camp. I like that tent but I have to wonder, with all that black on the inner. Is it going to be a real sweat box in the summer. Dwayne
Great location and great conditions to match, i dont know about you but i am in a totally different head space when i am using cheaper tents without high expectations and always surprised how much value for money you get when a tent isn't over hyped although there is a weight penalty but when i have the posh tents out i dont like anyone going near my guy lines especially if they have had a drink because most people are shit faced by the time the sun has set....i think it might be a wild camping law these days :)
Cheers Andy. Good space inside. There’s an external porch (outside of the inner) on one side and an internal porch (inside the inner) on the other side. It’s a bit dark inside but not really a problem for us. We’ve used it several times since and really like it for the money 👍
Great watch guys. I’ve had my eye on a new tent and this one was on the list because of its good price, was it overly difficult to pitch? Magnificent drone shots as well 👍
Cheers Geoffrey. It’s not too bad once you get used to it. Gets easier after a few pitches. Obviously not a Hilleberg but can’t complain for the price. 👍
@@TheSoloSummiteer no definitely not, it’s the price that’s drawing me to it, I just don’t want to be caught out on top of a mountain with a tent that’s a pest to pitch but like you say after a few attempts you get used to it. Cheers for that 👍
That Tiso store is mega. Was in there just yesterday and almost bought the MSR elixir 2. Seems a bit roomier than my helm 2 but I wasn’t paying their asking price. Regarding your new tent, did you find the interior a bit gloomy ? I saw one set up in the store and felt it was too dark inside. Not sure how this would relate in the outside world.
Not used it in winter Ash so can’t really comment there but had in on a mountain in 50mph gusts and it was fine. The 3 pole design makes it feel pretty strong. Been ok in rain too and not draughty either. It’s a bit heavy for one person at 3.3kg but you’d have plenty of space. It’s also very dark inside as the inner material is black. I really like it for the money tho. HTH 👍
@@TheSoloSummiteer cheers for the quick reply 👍 all the tents I've looked at this one ticks all the boxes for me. Just want a 4 season one to.make it that little bit warmer inside. Got the oex rakoon 2 atm but like to upgrade it.
You gotta laugh when your girlfriend I am assuming Dave wants to put the tent up, instead you let her loose again with Drone Footage, which came back awesome, what was not to like the views were already there, and you shouldn't moan sharing a Scottish wilderness with wild birds squarking, possible because you two were there.ha, ha. As for the Berghaus tent being dark, that's great in summer when light nights are here, were you can go into darkness and sleep, so your pineal gland can release melatonin, under darkness. And if you think Dave likes a drink, I drink even more every day, not to stop me doing the West Highland or Rob Roy way, with my two terra Nova tents, and Lucky the Boxer Dog, nope, that's because post nearly four month some little bastard driving a three + ton vehicle through me in a Assda food delivery van, on an angle whilst he was doing 30 mph on his mobile phone. Guess what he doesnt work for Asda anymore, doesnt make me any better soon. But yeh I would pitch one of my terra nova tents up there, how awesome. By the way Dave when you bench press over 200 minor muscles relax. However if you sit on the ball recline back with dumbbells in your hands you also work those 200 extra minor muscles not on display in a body building pose through a mirror. Nice one Dave another great video. Do what makes you happy 👍 keep it up.
What a magnificent pitch.👍
Loving your new Tent Dave great for a low level camp, and for the price you paid good value. Looking forward to the next video cheers......
Just shows that you don’t have to go to the National parks for an adventure, they are everywhere…certainly showing different summits of adventure…
Absolutely Keith. Glad you enjoyed it 👍

There’s parking at the end of the road near Balcary House, Debbie. It’s on the OS map 👍
