    In this video, you'll learn T1 and E1 line theory and configuration for Cisco routers. So, if you're studying for your CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE in Collaboration (or maybe you need to know about T1s and E1s in the real world), here's what you'll learn:
    02:22 E1 and T1 Speeds
    03:10 Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)
    04:48 Framing
    19:36 Line Coding
    28:04 Live Demo
    =====================================================
    =====================================================
    Collaboration technologies extend beyond traditional voice over IP (VoIP) to include video. Cisco makes video calls available on your mobile device or desktop computer with their Cisco Jabber software. Or, at the high end, you can have an immersive video experience with the Cisco TelePresence solution.
    If you want to learn the 6 Cisco Collaboration systems you've gotta know for your CCNA Collaboration or CCNP Collaboration certification, then check out Kevin's free training video:

    Kevin, with the intentional Bi-Polar insertion, is that recorded as an error on the interface when you check the interface stats. If so how would one distinguish between real errors and intentional?

    very good explanatio, this makes sense to me now. only think is on E1 side inside controller e1 0/0/0, videos show we got pri-group timeslots 1-3,16. makes sense since we want to use 3 channels to save DSP resources. question is, what if we want to use the whole 30 channels ? will our command be pri-group timeslots 1-30,16 ?

Also if you could do a video on problems that can be encountered with MTU configuration, it would be really great!! In CSS, if each frame has 24 separated channels to send voice, then how does stealing the 24th frame for signalling reduce the number of simultaneous calls to 23 ? [maybe we will have voice interruption in all calls]
    What makes sense is stealing the 24th channel of each *single frame* and that when we will have only 23 channels for voice.
    I'm confused !!

    this is a stupid question but I am a Infrastructure management L1 , we had a T1 0/0/0 (pstn pri circuit ) down , ticket , my question is from BRI to HQ are you exenting the Lan of the voice network ? and also the physical connection to the HQ is it a lease line from a carrier , eg , cox or ATT&T ? Thank you

    Hi Kevin, First of all, great video. I am a communications engineer for a power/water utility. I have purchased your Official Certification Guide for CCNP Routing and Switching when I was reviewing for my CCNP in Routing and Switching. The books are great and I am still using right now especially we are in the process of migrating our analog mobile radio system to the Digital Mobile Radio Tier III. Our backbone is currently SDH but the DMR routers will be connected to SDH via Ethernet (EoSDH). I would like to pick your brain regarding SDH and its dwindling relevance in the world of Telecommunications. Also, have you come across IEC 61850 by any chance?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers.

    • @Apo_Ni_Baby_Kupal
      @Apo_Ni_Baby_Kupal Před 7 lety

      Kevin Wallace Thanks. I would like to know your thoughts on the dwindling relevance of TDM (SDH/PDH) in the Telco space. Do you foresee them being completely phased out in the next decade?
      Also will SDN fully take over the way we implement networks now in the next 5 years? Will there still be value for someone like me who has CCNP to pursue CCIE or should I focus my efforts in learning SDN and Python?
      Thanks again. Love your books and videos.
