Salah scored twice in the 1st half against Brighton this season, not at the end of the game. Both came from pressing their build up, which will be even more of a threat at Anfield

I’m on wildcard too, I like going Richarlison (if fit) and Muniz over Darwin and Garnacho this week and can transfer Richarlison to Foden next week if I want… Helps attack the fixtures a bit more imo.

Great video! Everything you said, reasoning including, is what I've pretty much been thinking during the international break. I'm on same chip strategy as you. Few different personnel but targeting same clubs. What are your thoughts on Jackson? I'd prefer him to Hoijland as my 3rd striker post FH but going to wait until after his imminent ban. As you said though, it's the enforced gk transfer of Petrovic if we go with him!
Brilliant video, Ross. I too went to Wildcarding this week at the end and I have some thoughts on the Arsenal matter.
Arsenal's fixtures from a time perspective are horrible:
Man City away on Sunday
Luton at home on Wednesday
Brighton away on a Saturday
Followed by Bayern Munich in the UCL on Tuesday.
These are 4 games in the space of 10 days. Even rotation is not an issue, you will get fatigued. Even if you play 90 in all of them, you will be knackered and Arteta will want his players relatively fresh for Munich, which may lead to rotation (Haverts-Jesus for etc). And Saka is noted to play slightly poorly when jaded, as any human being to be fair.
So my current plan actually is no Arsenal mid. I have Salah, Son, Palmer locked. I want Gordon and the last spot was for the Arsenal mid. And then it dawned on me. Why not just hold to Maddison. Let's say I play 3-4-3 - Haaland-Isac-Darwin/Solanke locked up front. Why not just rotate Gordon and Maddison. 30 - Maddison at home to Luton, Gordon 31 at home to Everton - Maddison 32 at home to Forest. This covers that space OK. 33 is a slight issue as Newcastle actually play Spurs at home, but Spurs are shite defensively so I do not mind playing Gordon against them. But if by some chance Spurs get their double in 35 ( with my FH in 34 played anyways) well I will have Madders pretty early.
For GW30-32 - Newcastle play on a Saturday, then on a Tuesday, then on a Saturday - this is relatively good.
Spurs are even better - they play Saturday-Tuesday-Monday. This basically means that they do not have a congested fixture's list. Tuesday-Monday is 10 times better than Wednesday-Saturday
On Darwin - Man this is a 50-50. Solanke is nailed and arguably has the same fixtures as difficulty. This will come down to Klopp's presser, if Darwin is even a slight injury doubt, then just playing it safe with Solanke is good. Everton at home, Palace at home, Luton away and Man United at home are pretty decent fixtures for a striker on pens.
On the defense - actually I wouldn't care if my defenders are rotated. Defenses are just generally rubbish and with stacked fixtures 30-32 and bad fixtures with a lot of UCL for the relatively good teams, I generally think it doesn't matter if Gusto gets the odd rotation here and there. Lascelles is actually really important for the whole scheme. If he is nailed, we are all fine. I too am going for Bradley punt for 30 and 31, with a cheeky 32 punt on Mykolenko and then just getting Van Hecke from 33 onwards or dunno an AIt Noury punt for 33,35 and 37. Still, defenders are just totally shite that it doesn't matter that much.

Why is everyone sleeping on Gordon? He’s only blanked at home once this season and if you FH34 he has 4 good home fixtures out of the next 5 gameweeks he’d be in your team, followed by DGW37
I agree to an extent but I just struggle to replace any of Salah, Saka, Son or Palmer for him

Intrigued to hear whether the chip strategy of other content providers influenced your strategy.
E.g. I listen to pretty much all content from the main people but you and LTFPL are the ones I watch the most of. My strategy has ended up being the same as yours which now leads me to watching your shows as a priority to see if you’re thinking the same way. I imagine this may be a bit of a trend.
Outstanding work once again Ross. Just a question. Do you have to have 15 DGW players in 37 with 35 WC or do we try to keep good assets like Salah Saka etc? Season doesn't end in 37 but 38 also a major factor. Keep doing awesome work buddy. Your vidoes are fun, creative and never ever boring. ❤😅
We have the same draft Ross but i have Kelleher and Gabriel instead of Raya and Bradley. Just mainly because Gabriel will become Trippier in 32

Any ideas on what to do if we don't have your team value. I'm in the exact same position as you with FH and BB still available. Currently if I try this wildcard I can't fit the two forwards alongside Haaland. I'm also still 0.4 short if i want to do solanke instead of one of the others.
Any idea on what I should do as only option seems to be to go for Muniz atm?
Thoughts on keeping watkins then booking a transfer for haaland gw31. Since your fh 34, the team doesnt need many transfers before then

Which of these options make the most sense
1. Mengi,KDB,Watkins for Bradley,Salah,Mateta -8
2. Solanke,Watkins,Odegaard,Foden for Mubama,Semenyo,Son,Salah -12
3. I bring in Mateta & Salah Son for KDB & Watkins,Odegaard -8
4. Mengi,Odegaard,KDB,Watkins to Bradley,Salah,Son,Mateta -12
I have the exact same team aside from onana for raya and maddison + muniz for Garnacho + Darwin

Loving the great videos and appreciate your hard work, can I ask for a little help if possible, plan was to WC 31 BB34 with
15 Doublers but no way of getting many doubles in Wk37 only 3 transfers for free. I can get to 15 doublers by taking -20 in next 4 weeks and Wc 35 with 11 doublers would it advisable to take hits to get there. Cheers

Raptor and everyone else, I need your help. Does it make more sense to play Foden or Saka this week? Gordon easily starts over both for me but I can’t choose a 4th mid

Gw32 - Bradley to Porro
Gw33 - Raya to Onana, Saka to Foden
Gw34 - FH
Gw35 - Darwin to Hojlund
Gw36 - roll
Gw37 - Ait Nouri to Ake
This would give you one more DGW player in GW36 ( 3 Spurs players and 3 Chelsea players) and one more DGW player in GW37 (14 DGW players + Salah). Check it out :)

This plan for 33 I'll skip cause they will be in my wc. This goalkeeper thing is a result of overthinking if you ask me

That Chelsea defence is not just worth it. I would be going with just Gusto. At least he got attacking potential.
If you were not going crazy with hits to buy players for DGWs, then you would have had almost the same team, except for Garnacho Ait-Nouri and couple of others who are not essential

I kind of want to go for Ver bruggen instead of Raya just to cover GW31 and GW35 where Petrovic have United and Villa. I know he's not 100% nailed but going with Raya without a double just feels wrong to me.
I brought Kudus in for a hit in gw28 and Burnley almost won the game. I then picked 3 Brentford players v Burnley in gw29 and look what happened there. Burnley are doing what Luton have been doing to me all feckin season. Salah is the one to captain.

You’re locking in a possible 7 transfers there through rotation and injury prone players not leaving you much room to have luxury transfers if all goes wrong
thinking of having havertz instead of saka on a wildcard as a punt and to free up some funds do you think this is a good risky punt or a mistake?

Not sure if already asked: Why is everyone thinking of playing WC now for potential BB in GW37? I have both FH and WC but isn't it better to keep WC for later?
FH29 seemed like a disaster. But building to GW34 feels like a better plan than WC now. WC35 sets you up so much nicer imho

You're overthinking the GK thing too much. Chelsea at home is perfectly fine in GW31. Onana has a better fixture than Raya and Petrovic in 35 as well as the double in 37. Go for Kelleher, Onana or Ederson if you're free hitting
if deciding to WC30, why is FH34 BB37 more preferred than BB34 and FH37?
I see most people captaining Salah for GW30. I am going with Palmer who is being underestimated.
He is in only 30% of teams, so definitely will not captained by "most" people.

I think people are overestimating a few things. Chelsea are the only team that has two decent fixtures in GW 37, the rest have either 1 or none. BB GW 37 with that in mind could be terrible and the fact that league positions could already be decided by then means its going to be a lottery of who plays. The doubles in 35 seem like such a huge bait and you can argue going 0 spurs players from 33 with how difficult the fixtures are for them, including playing Liverpool in 36.

Turns out Raptors are much smaller and more feathered than we were led to believe in Jurassic Park. You should probably change your raptor logo to something more realistic 😂
Richarlison or sake to start?
A little tempted to take Diaz instead of Saka and replace Darwin with Isak/Solanke/Cunha. Diaz has good stats recently and I think better minutes than Darwin.
Bradley and Raya over White and Kelleher? 0.3m difference, but not risking Bradley being dropped
Why not Dubravka and Petrovic? Newcastle double in 37 and have a good fixture in 31.
I’m surprised you don’t have foden in this draft, do you not think he can match saka for points atm with the form he is in ? And with an extra double.
