Trivium - Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr Live At Download Festival In 2006 8º Music They Play On Download Festival In 2006 Enjoy And Comment
Matt said in an interview one time that they partied the night before and he woke up with no voice at all. He was surprised that he could even do what he did during this show. That's why he wasn't screaming cause his voice was gone before it even started lol. So glad he has fixed his voice and has become more healthy as a vocalist. If he kept this up he wouldn't be able to be their front man anymore
@@mementometallum571 i liked ascendancy most acutally, but every album of them is great. I dont think which "era" of them is their best so far, each had its highlights
The very end of ascendancy was beast, Matt still doing screams and he and Corey played dimes washburns and started playing razorbacks, I love the crusade a ton. Vengeance and unrepentant hit hard for me and are among my Favorites in the guys catalog. But the heafy hetfield era as I called it was pretty decent I’d say yet criticized and his screaming just hit so different and this was such a major switch. I’ve heard friends say on the sin and the sentence trivium finally found their sound. I don’t think that imo. I think they had the right stuff and sounded like trivium in ember to inferno and ascendancy and then tried to hard to find there sound and did the whole thrash mixed with metalcore on the crusade and then shogun and then went drastic again with in waves onward. The sin and the sentence , what the dead man say and in the court Of the dragon has the earlier elements somewhat of old trivium along with the modern sound. But they had it to start and sounded like something different and I’ve heard how they were so much thought to be the biggest thing in the metal scene and then write the crusade and things were never the same. Idk that’s my take lol, I was only 1 when ember to inferno was released, other fans will know so much more haha
I jsut saw these guys in Greensboro last month and, as always, they put on an insane show. They played pull harder as their encore at that concert too, and it was... awesome. Cant wait to see em live again
Love how young and unappreciated they were back then. I saw them in 2007 on Family Values tour and thought they weren't anything special. I saw them last week and lost my shit twice during their show!
@@tripxez8478 No it's not. Their best sound live was the In Waves era. Shogun, In Waves and Ascendancy are their 3 best sounding records. All are quite good though, but by far, live is the In Waves tour.
Because this is a tape from back in the 'Crusade' days, because a lot of people didn't like the screaming, Matt went more mainstream with his vocals, when he realized that there were always going to be people who didn't like them, he stopped caring and started doing his own thing again => Shogun
yes! i saw them in February and they dont sing like this at all.... they really scream now...its so badass.... im gunna see them right after you in SAN ANTONIO !!! WHOOH MAYHEM FEST BABY!!
this is from 6 years ago, anyone who says the don't sound good live in 2012 has been living under a rock I still like this version, just putting out there
Evan Paluch he should've learned from James since James ended up blowing his voice out from basically yelling for 9 years. James had to learn to sing, and so shouldve Matt
@TraviSixShot thats pretty good man :) ive seen AC/DC, Metallica, Lamb of God twice, High on fire, shadows fall, devildriver, anthrax, ISIS, Trivium, faith no more, gallows, anvil and baroness twice :)
cause the original fan base is what blew them up, made them famous. and now they're makin music for their new fans... also known as selling out.....when i first seen these guys noone really knew them and they were sick as fuck. once everyone started listenin to them they went mainstream, they didnt have to.
hes screaming/singing fully now. He doesn't do it for every part. But still more so than he did on Ascendancy and more singing than the crusade, as he stated in many interviews. Corey's there for the backing/ parts that Matt doesn't do, notice on any live video. Corey will scream with Matt just incase he stops. So yeah :)
@TraviSixShot same here!! :( oh well im happy, i get to see trivium for a 2nd time next year, slayer, maiden, rob zombie, the sword and heaps more :) get to meet most of them too!
The infamous Hetfield era!
I loved it.
SomeoneWitSkill me too haha... They're really talented musicians
HE REALLY SOUND LIKE HETFEILD LMAO
hahahaha
Ngl i love it,thought metallica will never upload new stuff or something but trivium is like hold up we gotta resume their work
God, I adore Paolo's clean singing in this live, so satisfying for some reason lol
It's because he's in tune
@@Patpizio Nah, he normally sings well. The mix is just a bit better.
The chorus in this performance is the best I’ve ever heard
On the record yes.
Back when Trivium was still finding themselves.
They've got it figured out since shogun.
***** says the one who listens to scene music.
***** BFMV=scene
***** You actually fucking rock... no bullshit, but you're awesome for that :D
Oryx, The Taken King what did he say it’s deleted
Boat. Rudder. Strange mountain.

He sounds like shit live now against his voice before his blow out
@@user-jf5st5ct7s not really just a preference
@@hunterhoffman9980 just compare nowdays to the old ones.
I have a huge respect for Matt but....hi's voice is gone.
He wasn't screaming at all during this period.
They have improved massively in their live performance's since this.
The Dean era of Trivium will always be the best, you cant change my mind
real Les Paul custom all day
Simply WORST Trivium era.
@@mementometallum571 i liked ascendancy most acutally, but every album of them is great. I dont think which "era" of them is their best so far, each had its highlights

one of the best Songs from trivium
I for one prefer this song sung clean. But then I am a pure thrash fan. Either way it rocks!
I agree
I disagree
Trivium from inferno to shogun was my favorite trivium, that’s my playlist of my life right now
you can*t dislike this performance!!!!
The Best Song of Trivium
Hell YeaH!!!

Ooh, theres alot of people here today..holy shit..

+Antonio Vatteroni They don't use playback :D
Lol maybe
Saw them yesterday and he had no problem screaming this one or any of their songs
RED EYES
YELLOW LIPS
TREMBLE
LET IT RIP!
i love the interpritations of this song hahah!
I really like when Matt sings like that =)
Are you serious?
Iron Maiden + Trivium, my first gig. Best thing I've ever seen.
Best era of trivium 💯💯
This is Real Trivium!
I jsut saw these guys in Greensboro last month and, as always, they put on an insane show. They played pull harder as their encore at that concert too, and it was... awesome. Cant wait to see em live again

such a great performance!
Trivium is so kickass.!!!
Awesome
awsome show
Trivium rules man and I am an old school metal head. These guys are that NEXT band if you catch my drift.
I was there - great gig!
i stopped listening Trivium for things like this back in the day ! Thank God they recover their essence as a band the past couple of years.
What do you mean "for things like this". I am just a casual Trivium listener that only knows 2 songs of theirs.
This is triviums best sound
@@tripxez8478 No it's not. Their best sound live was the In Waves era. Shogun, In Waves and Ascendancy are their 3 best sounding records. All are quite good though, but by far, live is the In Waves tour.
damn Corey's good at back up vocals
They were called the next Metallica...
Didn't they call themselves the next Metallica, so everyone hated them? Glad they're the band they are today though!
They are trivium not the next metallica
@@fattlane1866 no, they wanted to be the next metallica. However they never made the claim, they were just young musicians living the dream.
thanks for that my friend.
you too have a great day!! :)
September 25th, Trivium and Dream Theater live at the Nokia theater in Los Ganjales!!! Oh YEAH!
I miss you in Trivium, Travis.
STRANGE! MOUNTAIN!
Foda demais!!!!!!! Me deu mais vontade de ir em um show deles!!!!
Why thank you :)
screaming, death growls and badass shreiks i was in total amazement, my first concert ever so i was blown away by both Trivium and Slipknot
I AM HERE TO RIDE BIKE!
trivium will rock in manila on 2009
cant wait for them to come out with new album and for them to tour again they are always good when ive seen them live
favorit song trivium
hell of a powerful performance back then
Because this is a tape from back in the 'Crusade' days, because a lot of people didn't like the screaming, Matt went more mainstream with his vocals, when he realized that there were always going to be people who didn't like them, he stopped caring and started doing his own thing again => Shogun
@@northwindkey lol, pantera had the most heaviest breakdown in metal history XD
Oh man, they told us in Belgium on Graspop right the same.. Hmm, besides that, awesome comment x)
TRIVIUM ROCKS! \m/

I freakin love the part that starts at 3:27 ! It's so badass lol
Agreed
this is from 6 years ago, anyone who says the don't sound good live in 2012 has been living under a rock
I still like this version, just putting out there
trivium is awsome no question
what you guys need to remember is this was over 3 years ago, Shogun has since come out, and they have gone back to thrash and screaming
I was there it was canny i even met Travis he was a cool dude. I remember the Matt Hetfield days haha
yes i've seen them @Graspop in belguim there were awsome !

Well thats good to hear :) I'm going to see them Sep. 21st.
can't can scream or growl now, he has done something to his throat
Matt is doing and excellent Mr. Garrison here.
i noticed that lol..thats awesome..i-ron
i agree with gingernut11, he rocks at singing, and when Paolo harmonizes, it adds to trivium, don't get mad at me because you know you like it.
why this sounds awsome
EVAH! FOR EVAH AND EVAH!
I love the guitar that matt is using there! its like a explorer, X and flying v mixed XD
The Dean Razorback. A classic. 😄
best heavy metal song out right now!!!!!
@twardy11 Assuming you know little about Trivium I'd say you haven't heard any recent stuff... Heafy is kick-ass, this tour was a one-off.
HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!
this is PULLHARDERFORTHEDRINKSIN MYSHEEEDDD...
Top dat shit!!! Trivium rock braap braap!!!
And this is why matt lost his voice...
Evan Paluch he should've learned from James since James ended up blowing his voice out from basically yelling for 9 years. James had to learn to sing, and so shouldve Matt
ascendancy through to shogun is why matt lost his voice. he was fucking insane in those 2 albums
But Matt can use his cleans better than James so there is no problem
Long hair stronger voice 🤘
I love this fucking perfomance, maybe it's not the best Trivium era but that furious feeling in Matt's singing it's amazing.
hope they come bak next year :D
Metallica + a good drummer = Trivium
OMFG😍
they are like 24 years now!
\w/
hahahah!!!
Trivium rocks! =P

This is THE song by trivium, all are awesome, but this one is the best.
Too bad he stopped screaming

Corey has gone into being awesome at screaming while Matt is saving his voice for maybe his future xD
yeah, Matt records every single vocal u hear in studio songs. the harmony, backing vocals and of course the main lyrics
The super long name of song! Mada pakerrr!
