I literally thought the same but then I thought context matters. She thought the lady sounded like one and didn't know her (didn't know her name at least from my understanding) so she noted her down by a detail she recognised.
It's definitely a bit odd to hear but I think it's better to assume it's an innocent name choice versus something racial, then again I give people the benefit of a doubt lol
@@lulianaxx That's another thing, I don't get why she would show a house to someone and not have their name? I feel like that's just protocol. Also based on the time period I feel like this was during that big immigration boom here in the states...granted whoever it was killed her anyway so they weren't good people it's just hard to feel anything about the case knowing solely based on a subtle accent that's how she chose to describe a person/family she was going to be doing a million dollar business deal with.

On the surface the Shirley theory seems out there, but if you look deeper into this case there are actually a lot of really creepy things surrounding Shirley that are blaring red flags. Shirley also has A LOT of powerful connections, and was friends with the owner of the housing development Lindsay was showing in. Lindsay’s dad has always been put off by Shirley as well. My gut has always leaned that way - this case is the one I always come back to. I want it solved SO bad!

definitely a professional hit. I honestly believe it was her boyfriend Jason or his mother, or BOTH of them were involved in getting her killed. My question is why though? I've heard that Lindsay may have had knowledge of drug activity going on and she was silenced. I feel so sorry for her dad

A professional would not have needed to stab Lindsay 40+ times. That’s a passionate overkill and a hitman wouldn’t go that far. And from what I know, hitmen (and hitwomen) don’t work together?

Two things if Jason was concerned he would have been at the house at 5:30 instead of at the shop and two wouldn't the houses in that neighborhood have security cameras outside

They have been investigated extensively. Jason was cleared two years after Lindsay’s murder.

I'm friends with her cousin, and this not knowing has taken such a toll on the family. I wish they could finally get some answers and closure.
I think it was definitely a hit. Her boyfriend showed up late, even though he told her he would be there when the showing started to make sure she was safe… and he brought a friend to make sure his story was believed. His running straight to the bathroom makes it sound like he’s been in that house before or at least knew where they planned to kill her… they probably picked this house because it has an easy way to leave out back and would be unnoticed by his friend. Also, the “Mexicans” thing seems weird… like sounds like he’s trying to make her sound racist so maybe people won’t like her. But that could also be a real thing she said sadly.

Her husband seems really sus! I mean, why didn't he go with her directly from lunch instead of making a pit stop at the auto parts store? Seems like that was an excuse to give them time.

His friend that was with him waiting for her basically took the bottom floor to look for her. I don’t know if it was kind of an unsaid agreement that he would check the first floor and J*Sun would check the second floor but I remember from another CZcamsr that mentioned that in their show.

I’m confused. If the couple made eye contact with Jason and then went back INSIDE, where were they when he got inside and his friend went around back? How did they get out of the house? Am I missing something?

A professional killer will have several burner phones that are never used until they are needed.
Hmmm...I'm kinda on board with the theory that it was a hit...but maybe from Jason. I think the people she showed the house to committed the murder, but Jason was involved. Hence how they got her cell phone number and the name of a mutual friend to say how they got her number.

How did the suspects get to the house? How did Jason not get a tag number??
There apparently was no car visible anywhere. A lot of details are left out in this video. Jason and his friend entered through a back patio, where French doors were left open, presumably that’s how the murderers escaped. The patio was on the side of the house that’s on a major street. The theory is their car was parked there out of sight of the home’s entrance, or a getaway driver awaited them on that main road..
The version I’ve heard multiple times is that Jason lifted his friend over the fence (since Jason was a big guy this arrangement makes sense). But if they had to go over the fence, how did the killers escape? Surely the woman in a dress didn’t climb over a fence?! It’s just one of many things that bug me about this case.
It’s hard to understand what the motive would be other than her boyfriend being involved. It just sounds like a hit. Nothing else really seems that likely.

I think I can answer the question in regards to how it was that Jason just ran up the stairs to the master bedroom, i think what happened was,as the 2 of of them entered tje house 1 stayed and searched the ground floor and 1 went up the stairs,so and at the top of the stairs is the master bedroom door,so that was the 1st place he looked.
My gut says something happened before Jason entering in her life, the simple fact is the phone was bought three months in advanced the ppl had to of planned it out before the three months. They knew the footage to purchasing the phone wouldn't exist anymore n they patiently waited it out. Ik the ppl went out the back to get away n I feel the couple Lindsay nvr seen before or recognized, so she would walk into the home. I wonder if her shoes were removed cus it was a new home n they took off their shoes before going upstairs n that is why he her BF b lined it up to the top floor, this might happen alot showing homes n he knew this. The ppl would have to tell someone about wat happened if their ever going to solve it. Her gut knew something was off with the call n why did she say the Mexicans? Why not put the name of the caller in the phone even if they gave her a fake name? Why the Mexicans? My guess is the lady had an accent n that's why she saved it as that. Weird but wat other explanation could it be? It's someone that I believed hated her n was seeking revenge for some reason. I want to know where the asaliants parked? Behind the home would of been a red flag them pulling up, but no car in front of the house? She standing there n they just walked up or already standing there with no car out front? Listen to it gut cus she knew something was off. God bless her n her loved ones cus she was set up.
Mid level and up drug dealers, robbers, etc always have multiple burner phones ready for activation.
In my opinion and lifetime of experience our womens intuition is usually to be trusted, or at the very least checked out
Her boyfriend showing up late was a red flag. The clients who wanted to see the house exhibited red flags from the start.
A few thoughts. This is the first time I’ve heard anyone say that Jason made eye contact with the killers. I’ve heard that the door opened slightly, they caught sight of Jason and slammed the door shut. Wasn’t Jason parked a distance from the house? Minor difference I realize, but this is odd.
After following this case for years, watching YT videos, reading articles, and hearing interviews with her father, I’ve come 180 on my theory of who killed Lindsay. Because I’ve listened to so many interviews with Jeff, I’ve leaned toward the Zailos being behind the murder. I’m now convinced it was a cartel hit. I can’t remember what source said what, but the sketches of the killers resemble two members (either Portuguese or Brazilian) of a cartel, which could account for the Mexican-ish accent. Like she really couldn’t place the accent but knew it was Spanish-sounding. When Lindsay visited her Dad in December she told him she saw something that she shouldn’t have but she wasn’t ready to tell him about it. I feel strongly that whatever she saw is the major factor in her murder. Maybe it’s the Zailos, maybe it’s drug dealers, maybe both in combination.
Last thought in my thinking it’s the cartel - they buy burners in bulk. The phone wasn’t necessarily purchased with Lindsay in mind. There was a second burner phone involved that was used to check the voicemail of the phone used to call Lindsay. Neither was ever used after the hit. The killers had to take a ferry from Victoria island to the mainland. Perfectly opportunity to throw the phones into the ocean, never to be found!
This one’s a different one in the sense of not having enough to go on the burner phone dead end, not much forensic evidence dead end, the theory of her being an informant or saying something dead end.
The fact he didn’t go in after it being a weird thing how the people acted seems strange to many and I get it but like savannah mentioned she was starting out and didn’t want to ruin her possible great opportunity.
If he didn’t have anything to do with her murder then that must be weighing heavily on him because he didn’t go in and potentially save her life. Now if he was responsible I hope Justice catches up to him and he serves the crime and anyone else who was involved.
May she rest in peace and her family get Justice for her.

Omg I am a you real estate agent. I ALWAYS get I.d before meeting clients or customers. I also will get them to meet me at my agency first. I also when showing a house to buyers, will have my bf be waiting in his own car watching in case I've never met them or feel unsafe. It does get scary sometimes! I always tell people where I am and have my phone on me constantly incase anything happens.

Has it come out how many times she was actually stabbed? I've read dozens of articles on Lindsay's case and have read that she was stabbed between 7-42 times. It's been awhile since I've read any updates on her case. Did the police finally release how many times Lindsay was actually stabbed?
The most recent interview I’ve seen with Jeff, her dad, said it’s north of 40. Even he hasn’t been given the exact number.
Canadian police are famous for not releasing details of murder cases.

This is probably all been done but did they dust all of the knobs and locks for fingerprints and DNA? Did they check on the neighborhood doorbell cams for the car?
There were no neighborhood doorbell cameras in 2008.
Couldn’t the police track where the call from the burner for burner phone come from ? What do y’all think ?
Some areas I was thinking about that I assume have already been explored is if the couple entered through the front door and exited through the back then where did they park their car? Maybe there was a driver who picked them up on another street. It was in 2008 so home surveillance cameras were probably not as common then as they are now. It would be more likely today that someone's home surveillance would have captured the vehicle leaving the area. Could these people have arrived on a plane from a Spanish-speaking country and immediately gotten on a plane and flown out of the country? I assume the authorities checked flight records for that possibility.
Regarding the drug bust. In the media reports, it was the largest drug bust in Alberta history at that time. It was the result of a year-long investigation.
It happened on Victoria island. The killers had to take a ferry from the island to the mainland. As to records, I don’t know. I’ve never had to show ID when entering a ferry.

This case is extremely odd. It didn't happen so long ago, therefore I'm not sure why better safeguarding was not in place for a lone worker. I don't believe her boyfriend was involved. Interesting to hear the theories, but I wonder who the people really were,, and why was she a target?

The coverage of this case is weird. It seems like because both families are well off. Instead of focusing on the crime, dad wants to ruin boyfriend and his family… it would have been extremely weird for him to walk in the showing for the buyer (had the buyer not been there to murder her). Just seems like more focus should of been on HER and her actual life and less on her boyfriend.
I think Jason is involved somehow.

this case is really confusing because I keep trying to put in to play the date of when the burner phone was purchased, but that may not even have anything to do with it, maybe the person just had a burner phone, and then had a reason to use it, which was Lindsay.

Technically I've been following True Crime since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s watching Unsolved Mysteries.. but over the past decade here on CZcams, I've really gotten more into it, and Lindsay's case is the one that started it.
did they ask the person who recommended her to this couple if they really did? surely when they heard she was killed they would come forward and say hey btw we got a voicemail from her. I really think it was the boyfriend, it's the only option that makes sense. He probably told the couple to say they were referred by said person, he probably told them not to contact him on the burner phone, only her so it wouldnt be traced through her work, i have a feeling thats why he took his friend, so he would have a witness to say yes he went and sat in the driveway and didnt go inside until so and so, thats probably why it took him so long to sit outside for so long for no reason, to me it also explains why it was done so fast in like ten minutes because he knew about it and sat outside to give them time, and then he knew somehow to go straight upstairs to the bathroom.
It wasn't the boyfriend. It was likely a 'recommendation from an aquantantice' of Erickson Lopez Delalcazar...the cartel dealer she met with 6 weeks earlier.
@@LeftInBama it could be either one, but I think it’s the boyfriend for the reasons I put in my comment. It makes more logical sense to me because of all the things he did that don’t make sense. But theories are theories because they are both possibilities that can’t be ruled out. Unfortunately I don’t think this was investigated to the fullest extent it could have been or could still be. We may never really know.

But either way police can say someone has an “alibi” all the time and it was in fact that person- they just don’t have enough evidence to take it to a jury. Either way it’s still a theory because it cannot actually be ruled out. If you’re saying his story makes complete sense and nothing seems weird about it that’s fine- that’s your opinion. If you’re argument is that “ facts” say that it wasn’t the boyfriend and you know this for sure- then what are your facts that the rest of us don’t have that say the cartel did it?

In my view Lindsay saw something related to money laundering/mortgage fraud and murdered.
This was about protecting a cash flow that many professionals received.
To illicit ANY info to help find resolve will need to be CASH...substantial monies 250k....
No drugs in my opionion.

I've been following this for some time now,and I've seen multiple video,and podcasts,,the police know,as well as the her father,that the mother ,or perhaps maybe even the family,are responsible for her death,but are at this point unable to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.they only get 1 chance at a conviction, so in as much as there is no statute of limitations on murder,they may as well take the time and get it right.the mother just keeps popping in and out of the whole scenario too many times throughout, as far as I know in the real estate game,a person that only has less then a years experience, doesn't get to show million dollar listing,it's my understanding, that you have to start at the bottom and work up to the big ones,and if I'm not mistaken, it was the mother that set it all up her,and whatever the situation she was not supposed to see or be in,as she confided to her father,was something related to tje shady dealings within the family,and with that,,,She was silenced

Looks like it's somehow drug related. She knew something and the ppl blamed her and it was likely more than the information she knew but also something personal not that she did anything but perhaps what they percieved. Being that both were killers maybe they were on drugs and drugs affect thinking and can affect other areas if the brain involved in rational thinking
