Great to hear this positive review of Knize Ten, which happens to be my signature scent. I've been wearing it regularly for about 20 years on all kinds of occasions, at work as well as during leisure time. I've never had a negative response from anybody and sometimes I've had compliments too. It's definitely a complex fragrance that evolves wonderfully and lasts a very long time on my skin. I particularly enjoy the leathery, smoky incense drydown. Yes, it's a bold masculine scent, but not a macho scent, so I wouldn't use the word "rugged" to describe it. I find it refined, elegant and distinctive.

With Knize Ten you always have these two opinions: some call it super manly, rugged and bold and picture some rough guy in a leather jacket, while others say it’s classy, almost unisex, understated, elegant and picture an aristocratic man in a suit. I tend to go with the second opinion, considering the house that produces it sells 7000€ bespoke suits and call it “the gentleman’s fragrance” on the bottle. I think we have a hard time putting K10 into a category because it’s so far out of our time and different from current, modern fragrances. This stuff was already 60 years old when the 80ies powerhouses came out. If it’s definitely one thing i’d say it’s absolutely unique and distinct.

Like the strong black petrolium leather opening and the wonderful smooth tamed transition during it's development into spicy floral with some ambery vanilla to smooth things out. Recommend you to try as versatile summer leather Ganymede from Marc-Antoine Barrois. That would suit you very well.* ☕😉👌
i have about 15 bottles of different fragrances. and knize ten is up there. i like to wear this in the colder months. what i like is the fact that it's super strong yet subtle at the same time. it doesn't shout but the smell is always radiating off your skin. and also it makes me feel very calm wearing it. i agree this is for your self to enjoy although i have recieved compliments on this scent.
Lol! I don't think it should be THAT difficult to track down the correct pronunciation! In one online forum... No joke... There were 3 different people claiming to know the correct way and were all different! So yeah, I'm convinced you pronounce it according to where you're from and your accent.
*Guys, it's a bit tricky the brand is located in Vienna, Austria but the original founder Josef Knize was born Czech. Search on YT: "Hotel Savoyen Wien und Herrenausstatter Knize" and there you'll have the correct perfect pronounciation. "Knie-sche" because czech "z" is spoken "sch" (like sh...it, LOL 😅).* ✌️😉☕

the name's apparently slavic and the "z" part is pronounced with a soft "sh" - like the "g" in "my liege".
