I hope that this helps students, pupils and others. Have fun!
(This explanation fits to lectures for students in their first and second year of study: Mathematics for physicists, Mathematics for the natural science, Mathematics for engineers and so on)

I studied geography and received a brief introduction to logic while in Uni, and I believe it really helps understand how math works on an elementary level with formality.
..Note that for a sentence to be a statement it is not necessary that we actually know whether it is true or false, but it must clearly be the case that it is one or the other. For instance, let us consider the statement: "There's life on some other planets in our galaxy".
This is a statement, even though it is not confirmed whether there's life beyond the earth. Its truth value is unknown. However, this statement, like every other statement, has exactly one truth value: either true or false, but not both. Therefore, it is a statement.
I was just about to ask this question :) thanks for answering in advance ;)
Thanks for pointing that out
great idea to have a foundational series!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
Glad it was helpful!
I knew it! I learned about it when get into Javascript basic.. So much fun!!
Thank you so much! Going into my senior yr in high school from precalc to Complex Analysis with your help!
Glad I could help! :)
thank you, going into my second year of high school and this helped learn the basics immensely
Thank you for your support :)
Thank you Sir.

Thank you! circuit explanation for 'and' operator is good to understand! And I want to know more deeply about predicate.
great, thanks !!
Thanks
I love you ❤️
You are the best
Thank you!
You're welcome!
More videos Please! ❤
Yeah! In production :)
Hi! This is my second time watching this series, and I'm wondering if the auto-generated closed captions could be available. Some of the videos already have this, and it really helps me out. Thank you.
Mhh, the auto-generated ones exist or don't exist. I don't have a saying in this sadly.
@@brightsideofmaths Thank you for the reply :)
Thank you Pr**********😇
super underrated
Thank you :)
Hello great videos, a question, what books will your recomend for this series of videos?
That is a good question. Every book about the introduction into mathematics would work.
@@brightsideofmaths thank you!
@@5678hardcore Maybe Kolmogorov's Introductory Real Analysis.
@@brightsideofmathsooh thanks, i will have a look to that book
Hello, I have a question regarding logic. The wikipedia page for "Mathematical logic" has a subsection "Formal logical systems". What system is this?
First-order logic
Sir could you suggest accompanied text book which goes well with your excellent videos?
You can use my Linear Algebra book linked on Steady.
Difference between propositional logic AND predicate logic, relational logic or class logic?
Not an advanced logic course here ;)
Intuitionistic/Constructive Logic and Many-Valued Logic would be fun ;-')
What occurs if you reject the principle of non-contradiction though? Because you still have some kind of logic, just a different perspective.
Of course, you could work with a different logic system. However, here I show the common choice for mathematics.
@@brightsideofmaths Do you know any job or even branches in mathematics which explore these different logic systems?
(I mean, can we even claim they're maths anymore?)
@@flov74 I recommend the wiki article about Constructivism :)
@@brightsideofmaths My mind immediately connected logical operations to how logic gates are made.
Will this series be regular
I will upload the whole series over the next days.
@@brightsideofmaths thank you !
Hope you enjoy my video I've been to school and I have passed the 5 key subjects I am a all A* student I've been to school for highier tier with A* mathamatics A science B history C geography well Nice that I am a all A* student I love to enjoy to read books my favourite is definitely rich dad poor dad by Robert kiyasoki I am a rich dad by the way Nice! After leaving I've joined private school in the nederland and devoted my time to carpentry not so easy it is indeed to think a carpenter is only a carpenter any way I've been to private school and I have finished carpentry for a hons degree so farwell everything and let the birds fly I am indeed only not a carpenter but a carpenter.
Please can you use p and q
Yes, I can.
I will show that numbers are built from images
Example , 4 always represents 4 images, like 4 squares for instance.
To be specific numbers are "labels" for groups of images
1. The main idea here is that maths is built from images
(a) example , geometry is clearly made of images
b) example 2, We claim numbers are built from images too, as say 4 , always represents 4 images, like 4 squares for instance.
C) imaginary numbers are connected to images too , which is why they have applications in physics
D) In general any mathematical symbol that comes to mind is connected to images too.
Are you hallucinating?
Why pluto is false ??
Pluto is not a planet :D
Logic
Correct!
subtitle plis
Which language do you want? :)
@@brightsideofmaths Spanish subtitles for all your videos, it's a super good channel
school sucks ok! I dare you to say it doesn't
I will never understand how this truth table works
It's a definition. Nothing to "understand", just to remember and accept.
What does he talk about at 5:24 can anyone explain?
I talk about that the negation exchanges the truth value of a statement :)
