I’m reminded of Beck and Cage The Elephant doing the artsy country theme; it’s so edgy and catchy…venturing into a new territory. I saw an interview where he said he was doing country and I couldn’t see it but now it all makes sense. I’m frustrated with Oliver Tree because I like him but how he acts towards other people working with him is just childish and mean. This is a solid album although I find the majority of the instrumentals to be really bland and in some cases a bit samey. I want to say it's the abundance of acoustics but Oliver has always been using acoustics and honestly they were always fantastic (Miracle Man, Let Me Down etc.) Still, I vibe to this.
