The Duo Boon for Karina and Jacob only pops up if you have more than 2 of Karina's boons and just 1 Jacob boon. Karina immediately will put Jacob's patience/frustration meter at 80% and enemies near you will explode when it hits 100%. When you try to get another Jacob boon, the sprite will then be Karina having Jacob in a headlock.
Jacob and Nathan's duo boon is Ghost Beef
Jacob and Julia's duo boon is oOoH hitmaaan~
Julia and Nathan's duo boon requires Julia's gnome boon, and the duo makes your dash go twice as far but it's the fart with reverb sound
Karina and Nathan's Duo Boon would be some kind of status effect that makes enemies distracted, because their heads are filled with mocking laughter, and weak to backstabbing damage. Maybe their weapons get turned into rubber chickens and Karina and Nathan laugh at them.

But before the Titans, there was Chaos. The personification of the madness that existence was before order was imposed on it. In the game their name is Chaos.

Honestly when Karina came up and they started spitballing, I was like "Oh. God of Heckling. She doesn't grant a boon, she just turns up personally and heckles your opponent (and occasionally u) from the sidelines. Decreases accuracy and power of attacks by striking at insecurities, but there's nothing magical about it, its just psychological warfare. Sometimes, she throws explosive popcorn onto the battlefield for literally no reason"
@@impposter560Ths explosive popcorn shouldn’t do deal any damage but does stun for short time that added up for every piece popcorn that has the enemy in the explosion radiuses. One of the duo boons cause enemies try to attack in her direct in rage regardless of if it would technically hit or not.

I also really appreciated this method of displaying a spoiler! Personally I’m not great at this kind of game so I probably won’t play it, so I really wanted to see it, but it would have sucked if they just showed it anyway and spoiled it for people who do want to play it. This was a good compromise for everyone I think

I think it’s perfect that Jacob and Karina’s boons are both antagonistic and complimentary to each other. Karina roasts Jacob to get more powerful, then Jacob’s impatience meter fills are he gets more powerful. It suits their dynamic 😂

The way I laughed out loud involuntarily seeing how literally Julia that Hades character is. You could have shown me that picture and told me Julia drew it as a self portrait beforehand and I'd fully believe it.
Even better, the character is Primordial Chaos, holding their own previous sprite's head. So Julia.

My headcanon is that when things get tough and Jacob's wrangling too many windows, he says "hold on, I'm going to have to use... my mouse" and a little mouse comes out and helps him out. No one can convince me that this is not true.

I don’t know much about the video game Hades, but I do know way too much about Greek Mythology, so I think the gang would be similar in function to the nine muses, but they would all be different forms of comedy. Jacob personifies “The Straight Man”, Nathan would be long form bits, Karina would be sarcasm, and Julia would represent things that are just so absurd that they become funny. I also have a vague idea of how David and all of us would fit in, but it’s not fully fleshed out. But basically all together they are gods of comedy, but each one represents a different type.

Its a character that takes quite a while to show up, and has a pretty different design compared to the first game

Karina's process was so wild she did a sketch and then immediately started shading without planning out the outfit or weapons or anything. That's crazy powerful. I wish I had the skills to do what I want with my art and it still turns out well
I personally like the idea that Karina’s character, when you gift them ambrosia, the mouth opens, and you see like the Sans eye shine, and like, sharp pointy teeth, and she just smiles and says “ohoho, ish for me?…..” and then the mouth closes once more. True dark fey style, little imp.

Okay I want to take a crack at this:
Yaffe: God of Bits. Your boons switch stats, often to hilarious effect. For example, switching dps and speed or a boon called "Worth your Weight in Gold" where your health is directly proportional to your money on hand and vice versa (we'll pretend Nathan actually did the Midas thing and Dionysus took the credit).
Jacob: Seer of the Algorithm. On each level of hades, Jacobs boon changes effect, with each effect being best suited for one of the levels. It's never guaranteed these match up with where you are.
Karina: Crime Incarnate. Karina's boons are all based on combos, where the quicker you kill foes the stronger you get, like an arsonists embers. the main effect resets after finishing a room. great for dungeon clearing, but isn't great against bosses.
Julia: the Unseen Shadow. since Juia didn't do one, I'm ruling her main boon is to make you undetectable for the first few seconds of a room, with the downside that each room is slightly bigger and contain more enemies.
Building off of this some:
-Nathan's first boon makes you choose one of your abilities (cast, attack, call, etc.) and then each subsequent boon of his you select will only ever effect that thing. The harder you commit to the bit, the more hilarious/disastrous it has potential to become.
-Jacob's boons could also revolve around (attempting to) direct you towards certain actions or paths, so if you visit the shop a bunch of times, use all of your mana, only use omega abilities, or spend X% of the fight sprinting, the effect gets stronger.
-Karina's boons all deal with DoTs, so their power stays extremely low and it's only by comboing and rushing through rooms that you empower them enough for the benefit to really shine, because the building effect only reduces the time before the next damage tick is applied, it's always one damage, the question is how often it triggers.
-Julia's boons would be hilarious because they would affect stats from other games, like Charisma, Putting Accuracy, Turn Radius, Camera Zoom, and Toaster Repair. These would all have niche benefits for certain builds, and occasionally would even trivialize the game or some boss fights, but let's be real, you're mostly taking her boons because you've beaten the game a bunch of times and want to see her unique dialogue, or because she shows up more often in the challenge runs.

@@MasterCrander generally boons don't mess with rooms this much (referring to both my own suggestion and this) but both feel like apt drawbacks for juila so it could maybe be an optional mini-boss tied to julia
In Hades 1, dad Hades already grants you a trinket, that grants you a call (ultimate) boon that makes Zagreus invisible for 2 or 10 seconds iirc

On the one hand the cardinal virtues would work better since they're four, but on the other hand they're a little bit more boring. Not that the seven heavenly virtues are that exciting either. Maybe they could try depicting four of the seven mansions of the Interior Castle as imagined by St. Teresa of Ávila? That could be fun. They're a bit more abstract and it'll force them to draw rooms which is deliciously evil.

So what I loved most about this and im sure it wasnt intentional is that all these 3 characters play off each other. Karinas character Flames Jacobs with is according to plan which makes it also a bit that powers Nathan. Together they can just keep empowering one another without realizing it.

I can really see Katrina's and Jacob's sibling energy working well as a powerful duel boon, like Karina eggs on Jacob which runs his patience meter down faster, and then both their powers go off at the same time as Karina laughs at Jacob's meltdown
Karina has a dual with Hestia -- Spit Roasted (not like that): Your cast immobilizes, burns, and disorients all opponents inside where it is placed. Opponents that are defeated by your cast drop ambrosia (food of the gods; restores health).
