This is a demonstration of showing how we deal with our traumas & teaching college students how to become a paramedic. I'm a first year paramedic student, and we are learning so much, but I feel like I need to learn some more from these videos.
Why did that patient move his leg to make way for the traction splint? NO, they wouldn't. Also, the guy in the jump seat should be starting a large bore IV so pain meds can be given by the medic. HR of 115...Tachy due to pain?
Traction splint will help the patient femur fracture but it was left out; why? Also flail chest wasn't addressed at all in the video; does the patient even have one ?!
I had to do that with the Lego paramedics and we were getting a call from mom and accident it was a motorbike accident someone lost consciousness and we have to go take a Mendoza on an ambulance so both permit Lego paramedics for in the back and two on the driver seat and one in the front seat
Stepping over patient is a no no

Would you guys not consider putting a pelvic binder on anyway? I would probably put it on due to mechanism of injury even if there was no pain?
It makes the femur break a lot worse. Especially if it’s a proximal fracture.
