I went out and bought a replacement BW Black/Gold the day Hammer was acquired by Brunswick (Nov. 2019), but I didn't drill it until November 2022. Last week, I picked up an Envy and the 2.0 Hybrid. 604 series Friday afternoon with the BW B/G, 622 series Friday night in heavy oil with the Envy out of box. Tomorrow night, I debut the 2.0 Hybrid. Call me the Zookeeper with all the beasts in my possession...
When my altered reality stopped moving for me I was actually thinking about picking this ball up. Once I had that ball run through an oil extractor by the pro shop and cleaned really well that ball came back to life. I'm still contemplating getting one of these to have something on hand in preparation for when it does die out. The versatility of the widow hybrid 2.0 looks very similar to how the altered is for me.
FWIW I had an altered reality and just recently got the BW 2.0 hybrid... no comparison. The BW blows the altered out of the water. It's disgusting how good this ball is.
I followed your advice on this one and shot my first league scores...a 245 and 242. The lanes got sloppy so I had to put it away before the third game. Thanks again for good advice, this ball was great on the fresh as long as I trusted it and got it outside.

I just ordered this ball for the upcoming league. I don't generate a lot of rev's, one hand bowler, with my release. I see you both have your ball drilled differently. What layout would you recommend for someone like me that needs more action from the ball? Thanks.
Great review, mine comes today, question are you guys going to review the dv8 captiv8? I would love to see that review for one particular reason, it is first semi lower end ball with hk22. It would be interested to see what it does. Anyways thanks for all you do.

How does this compare to the 2.0 black widow? I have the 2.0 black. But love the way this ball looks. Cut more? Less? Long short?
2.0 hybrid is Cleaner, much more reactive down lane.
