Couples value wedding videography more now than ever; capturing the big and small moments, the mannerisms of the couple, the energy of the day, which can all be captured with 24 frames a second and cherished for years.

Excellent video breakdown. Thank you!
This is super helpful!! Thank you :)
Great Video !
Thanks for sharing.
Hi, how do you keep track of time with the post production? Do you have some kind of website so the couple can track it as well? Great video by the way thank you!
We use a project management software called FunctionFox and log hours when we work on projects. I don't have anything couples can track but would love that!
I feel like a lot of people don't really understand what goes into this after their day, so thanks for making this video :) I have a question though, how does your backing up only take 1 - 3 hours?? That's incredible! Ours takes so long! and backing up to Dropbox as well takes..days.. The backing up is such a huge task for us :(
Of course! We usually back up to an SSD so that probably takes 1-2hrs after the wedding. From there we transfer to our NAS server which takes about an hour or so. This is for like 300-500GB of data. We also have 1GB Fiber Optics Wifi so we can upload 250-500GB in a couple of hours to a dropbox/Google Drive.
How do you manage to edit a full wedding in 10 hours? Usually for me, takes me the full week (about 30 to 36 hours, 6 hours a day) to edit a 30 minute film and 5 minute highlight
For the bronze package (full length main events & 1.5 minute highlight video) usually takes 1.5-2 days to edit. If the ceremony is short (not catholic) I can get through all the main events in probably 3-5hrs. This is not super difficult editing if the wedding is shot correctly. I use Final Cut so I will organize the files into different events and will make proxies before I start linear editing. I don't really count proxying files as editing time since I just let the computer proxy and come back to it later. I also have multiple computers so I can work on other projects if I want to keep editing. Organizing and importing the files might take an hour at most. Then I match up my 2/3 cameras and audio (can be done almost instantly with synchronizing tools in premiere/Final Cut), apply the color grade then begin to move through the timeline cutting between whatever angle makes the most sense at 1.5-2x speed. As I go through the main events I will stop and cut out the shots that I know I want to put in the highlight video so I'll make a separate timeline for the highlight and copy and paste into that timeline as the bride comes down the isle, the kiss, etc. The highlight videos definitely take longer since I am adding lens flares, more color grades, cutting to music, and creating a story. Usually for 1.5 minutes that takes another 6-8hrs. I am a fast editor though lol hope this helps!
@@Clevelandvideographer thanks!
You crazy under sold the gear cost! No shot you are only bringing 10k to any wedding ever. 2 mid level mirrorless cameras and 2 high quality zoom lenses are about that much, toss in a few batteries and you are at 10k. I'm a solo shooter and I bring an easy 25k, and I don't even do drone right now.
