Ty Lue ran many different starting lineups during the season just in case they didn't have Kawhi for a stretch. Starting Amir Coffey, PJ Tucker, and sometimes playing Terance Mann at Kawhi's spot.

Mavs have to step it up defensively. Clippers won't be shooting like this all series, but they gotta figure out how to stop Zubac at the rim and limit Russ's emergy they were eating well. Not only that they were rebounding the ball pretty well. Mann with 9 rebounds and he's a guard. Dallas got work to do.

I really dont see why analysts believe in the mavs. They have 2 ball dominant stars and its cool to watch but its not winning basketball. Clippers have a TEAM. And honestly harden and westbrook are on the perfect team because they dont have to be the main point of emphasis offensively but they can be. And thats what makes the clippers dangerous. I've only cought a handful of Clipper games, but everytime I have, Zubac has looked awesome. Glad to see he got a lot of touches. Mav's looked rusty; you could tell that they sat their players the last couple of games of the season. Too much time off. Expect this to be a 6-7 game series, flip of the coin on who wins

Ty Lue did put some good starters up there and he knows how to maximize his bench. Yeah, and that's the second time I did see Harden just push a push a player away from him.
Getting Zub involved early like this is going to be huge because he is the biggest threat to the Mavs. They donât really have someone that matches up well against him and once Kawhi comes back and the floor is even more stretched heâs going to have a field day if they can keep him going. Zub could average 20 this series easily and thatâs going to be hard to beat because Russ is going to give you at least 10, harden Kawhi and pg are going to get you 15-25 pretty much guaranteed. And they have great role players coming in the 2nd rotation. Not even mentioning all the experience on this team. Not a fan but they could make a deep run this year if they keep playing smart and aggressive.
Shaq is acting like Harden doesnt do this EVERY YEAR, he looks good in the first few games then goes MIA... last year he had damn near 50 in phily's first game... then the rest is history. they should be praying for Kawhi to come back instead of counting on Harden.
That's why he's perfect for this Clippers team. He doesn't need to always excel in the playoffs because there's at least 3 other dudes who can go nuclear. No pressure to be the #1 or even #2 guy.

I think its interesting that Ty doesn't have a deal for next year. There are a few teams that may be looking for new coaches. Lakers, Suns, Bucks, Celtics, Cavs. A number of teams could look to get a refresh and Ty can stay in the Clippers but can also go somewhere else where the stars are healthy in the post season

Cant remember the last time harden had so much single coverage in a playoff game. He aint the harden of old, but he still is big trouble in single coverage. The Zubac mismatch may have led to the harden single coverage, he and harden do play very well together.

Clippers defense really gutted this out int he first half. These guys sacrificed their own games to pressure Kai and Luka. Once they had the lead the defense relaxed a little and guys like PG, Mann, westbrook contributed big time offensively. Harden was singled covered a lot, so rare in a playoff game. That wont happen next game and the other guys will need to knock down the open shots when they double harden and Zubac, and no doubt they will do that next game.
