ANOTHER HACK FOR STORING BAGS: Take a trashbag and put all of your plastic bags inside. hang it up anywhere (we have ours in the garage) and cut one of the corners off the trash bag. That was you can store many more bags!

That's a waste of a perfectly good trash bag.
A lot of cities don't recycle plastic grocery bags if they are put into the regular recycling bins. Please look up if your city recycles them or not. If not, you have to take them to a bag center in a grocery store. Sam goes for any soft plastic packaging such as wrappers, sealing plastic, shipping air bags, etc.
They don't accept them because they tangle the compactor in the truck.

_TIP: lets say you have half a dozen plastic bags filled with groceries, pick an empty bag, pass it through all the handles of the other bags and tie it, when carrying this bundle spread your fingers holding from different places there so you dont have all the loops digging into the same spot on your hand. feels MUCH LIGHTER_

I crochet with plastic bags. There are a few good videos on people making them into sleeping pads for the homeless and I decided to try it. I got my family into it and my mom also made a pad and my dad is making a beach bag.

if your a crafter there are lots of things you can do with bags the plastic bag can be cut and used as yarn it's called plarn
one of the best uses I've seen, is to crochet/weave them into sleeping mats for the homeless.

You can also take a pair of scissors, cut off the handles, then from the top, or from the bottom cut the bag up to form a long string, then you can do this to many a bag, and use them as you'd use yarn. You can make bags out of the bags, or make mats for basically anything. Just look it up. Some even use them to make simple bedding mats, for those in crisis situations.

Another storage idea: shove the plastic bags in empty paper towel or toilet paper rolls. Works surprisingly well
Geat hacks! Bags are free in the USA... although some stores will reimburse you a nickel for each reusable bag you use when grocery shopping. I wish all stores would do this. Love the wallet trick. They sell these and they're expensive. I think I will try to make one out of fabric and ribbon!

and keep a few in your car to cover those muddy shoes for the ride home. also if you keep them under the sink for the garbage can in the bathroom, try an old pringles chips can to put them in, it fits great under the sink.

here in italy plastic bags are not avaiable anymore. they give you only compostable ones. it is rare to find shops that give you plastic bags. just the compostable ones. or if you really need them, you have to buy them

Once when I was a kid I had a very bad stomach ache in the car while my mum was buying some stuff at a shop literally 3 mins from my house. I had to shit so bad but I just cant shit in public bathrooms so my dad said 'just hide in the boot and hit in a bag' so I took a plastic grocery bag from this seat compartment in the car, went to the boot, put my legs between each of the plastic bag handles, squatted and pooped. My car was a SUV so the boot was pretty big yeah. Man that was some weird shit. Literally

I actually use the OfficeDepot file folding cart. I can load easily 8 2Ltr. bottles and just stack ontop the rest of my grocery. I just shop with it and roll it up to the check stand.
