Your English is fantastic. Being able to speak on a subject for an hour with no one to talk with is an impressive feat. I really enjoyed this and have become a huge fan of yours after seeing how you handled the difficult world championship match. Good luck against Ding!

Awesome video, Ian! I really appreciate that in the last couple of years after your cementation as a top player you have taken your role as a global "influencer" and become a lot more vocal. And the reason I appreciate that you hvae taken on this role is that you are perhaps the most nuanced and deliberate of all the top players.
In a world where nuance is almost lost we need takes like this!
You take so much reservations and precautions when you speak that you manage to convey your opinions very cleary; never mind your english, you're very eloquent.
Hope this drama resolves without anyone getting hurt..

    Thank you so much Yan!
I would like to summarize what I understood as main points causing doubts:
    1. It is weird that in a case of a young player we observe a monotous rise of rating.
    2. Lies about Online Cheating.
    3. Jetlag-influenced wild-card performance in Sinquefield Cup.

Yan's opinion comes off as serious, as opposed to being in the middle of the drama. I originally thought Fabi's insight on cheating was the best but this video draws to light how both sides of the drama are missing small parts of the bigger picture, as to why cheating does happen, why cheating can affect a player's reputation and why it's very human to suspect someone of cheating. I hope he continues this podcast. I really hope Yan doesn't get drafted to go to war.
