Another tip, you can confuse enemies by Thrusting and looking down during the start up of some weapons, it can practically hide half the weapon underground
You should do more about this type of stuff. I've learned crazy drags through experience by getting destroyed by them but there's some that people do I haven't figured out how to do yet.
Ive always liked the war club since chivalry 2 released. It's weak but its speed is unmatched. I can do 360 spin drags until they catch on and then change my play style on a dime to confuse the opponent. I'm lvl 106 on Xbox and have beat dozens of lvl 1000 PC players.
Please more content for controller users. I play on pc with controller and I see some peope doing moves that look like they are only possible with keyboard and mouse (plus sensitivty adjustments). I really enjoy the game just want to optimize my playstyle.
Yea the whole game is a dance between accels and drags. Wacky animation abuse Is just wierd, when I see people start doing weird long drags I just gamble them… it’s so cringe and stupid.
@ahhhsothisishowyouchangean162 love when the guy I'm not even attacking has his back turned to me and 3 other ppl surrounding him and he does a giant 360 swing and it misses everyone but slices my head off in the last 5% of his drag..... love it.
this is my least favorite part of the game, imo it would be a much more enjoyable game if it didn’t have the camera-influenced attack speed mechanic. it would still be a battle of wits and skill, just minus all the impractical and janky physics; and ik i’ll probably get countless replies saying i’m just bad which i won’t disagree with considering i just started really getting into it, but it’s stupid how a self-proclaimed realistic medieval fighting game that has very simple and realistic attacks can be exploited by relying on erratic and downright unfeasible camera flicks to win encounters. i feel the devs shot themselves in the foot when they decided to add the mechanic bc it hinders the ability of actual adults to get into the game when the first 1v1 they get set up with is some 15 year old that has all the time in the world to experiment with the weird ass camera physics and can do sporadic 360 heavy’s that always hit you, but that’s not even the worst part. the worst part is that after you inevitably lose to those kids, you have no idea what you did wrong, all you took from that encounter is that you should go watch some videos that tell you how you can be like them. that’s not how a good game is crafted. i’m not a from software dev so i can’t tell you how, but i know it’s not taking whatever drug torn banner studios was on when they decided that was a good mechanic to implement.
You hit the nail on the head with the part about the only thing you take away from those encounters is that in order to get better or more on par skill wise is to be more like them and find tutorials on how to be more like them. Everyone has their own playstyle but once you get higher in the skill curve of the game is becomes much less enjoyable for me. Some folks love it. More power to them. It's just not the same game anymore

Nah you can do drags on controller too, watch tutorials on it if you want, tough it's more useful in duels
That's literally just gambling, hoping the opponent doesn't swing in-between that massive drag.
