Has anyone had the opposite experience where you legitimately do happen to be going in the same direction as someone you've briefly met for a good while, and you start internally freaking out thinking about how they must think *you're* a stalker?
Molester Man, aka Chikan Otoko has that exact story. It's a really underrated manga and I recommend everyone to check it out. It's based off a story from 2chan about a guy who gets mistaken for a stalker because he was walking in the same direction as a girl.
That’s why if I’m walking behind someone for an extended moment of time, I will deliberately try to overtake them in case I need to dispel that.

Yes! I was walking back from the library to my house, which takes about 40 minutes. About 10mins into the walk, some girl joined the same path as me. She was in front of me for ages, I felt so creepy like I was following her. She even turned into the road where I live, which is a v quiet road too. I finally reached my house, turned out she lived just a few houses down from me haha. Weird coincidence!
As a front desk receptionist I would’ve totally given you a new room. I would be surprised if your request would be refused by their staff. Unless the hotel was fully booked and there were no spare rooms
They can change key cards on doors at very least just in case. Dont know why artists and fans stay in same hotels during conventions

For court reasons having to do with her kids if i remember correctly, she was afraid their dad would coming nosing around for them outside of court

Man, when he said "it's the same floor as you" it was a massive red flag. Garnt was trying not to be mean to the kid, but he really was too innocent back in the day. Any other guy would have taken the girl to her room first, and then go to his own room. I'd ask the kid which room was he staying, just to be sure.
"I completely lied. I just wanted to see where you were staying." It was at this moment he knew... he fucked up.
