You can buy gold legally, by buying in game bonds. They can be exchanged for membership or sold for gp to other players. they are $8.99 each or $89.90 for ten. the price right now per bond is 13m gp and the shadow is 1.3b, so you would need to buy 100+ bonds to afford the shadow. $900+

It just kind of sucks that she really isnt experiencing the game. If this happened to me, I would quit within a week. Would be nice to watch her just play with the smallest amount of donations, if at all, to just buy supplies.
This is basically what happens when any famous streamer plays a main. People just follow them around all day and give them everything hoping to be noticed. The only way around that is just to play an Ironman but most of these kinds of streamers are only playing for the community aspect and not actually the game play.
Not like a max cash stack can buy a quest cape or experience new areas and activities or minigames which imo is core of the game and not just progression. Don't expect them to do everything from scratch like an ironman or target the best gear there's not enough time for that for a normal working person let alone a vtuber. We've already watched area locked UIM do their things nothing is going to top that,

It allows less grinding, to buy out 99s the fastest way, to do higher tier gameplay quicker ect ect;

I feel like it's fine to have people assist her a little bit, especially since she's a new player (to modern osrs anyways), but what's the point of playing the game if people are gonna simp so hard that they give you every single item in the game? You miss/skip so much of the runescape experience if you don't have to actually work for any of it.
Exactly. I first saw she was gonna play osrs I was like, oh cool, might be interesting to see how it goes. Then saw the group of ppl simping and decided nah, she will never exp osrs like that. Hard pass.

At most she'll do some of the bigger quests MAAAYBE and maybe the bosses you can do in a group and that's it

You're LIKELY correct. She probably won't get to TOA or TOB or anything like that.
It would be cool if she stuck around enough, but it's her decision at the end of the day. Most players in general don't make it that far, but why spoil the experience either way? Why would she bother even thinking about potentially interacting with that content in the future if she can just get all the relevant items handed to her for free?
@@Ausar0 I don't think we need to think that deeply about it, I don't think she was thinking much when getting it other than "Oh wow this item has a price with big big number" I think that assuming that it may be a reason for her not to keep going on deeper down the line is kinda cope.
I think even most new players that start out with normal accounts may just quit for some time, or even get friends to give them stuff but then they come back later ot the game and get properly "sucked in" the game and then they make something like an iron man when they actually become a OSRS player, or any variation of that, it's w.e, because she's a Vtuber first and foremost I don't think we should think much of it. 99% chance she just plays casually and that's it

The ecto is not faster xp. It gives slightly more xp per bone (400% vs 350%) but she would have to grind the bones and collect ectoplasm which takes significantly longer than even afk offering bones.

As a RMT scum, i can tell you is close to $210 if you have patience and only put an offer of 1.2B gold which is usually taken by bots every weekend (they farm ToA endedless).
Its not a lot of money if you compare it to some other items that are worth more than $10K.
If anyone reading this wants to buy this staff, i would advise to wait until christms update, as always Jagex manages to screw it up and release another infinite money raid with a random new meta. As soon as ToA free gold farm ends, it will crash any meta item just like Nightmare items.

I dont like that she just takes hand outs all day. I was really excited to finally have a runescape hololive because the game is such a great zatsudan game but taking billions of donations just ruins the experience and the journey
Most of these kinds of streamers are only playing for the community aspect and not actually the game play. If she was an Ironman or refused to trade, she’d have much less people following her around. If she is willing to take donations it attracts more people because they will want to try and simp for her by giving her free stuff lol. Like legit I can maybe count on one hand how many popular streamers actually end up playing past the early game after being spoonfed billions of GP. The game is too grindy to grab the attention of most viewers so they can’t just play the game normally if they want to attract viewers.

No universe will there ever be a proper OSRS hololive player, the game is just terrible for streaming. The fact that she even logged in a 2nd time is miles beyond what I expected.
Would rather watch ironman content instead of watching mass of simps bringing their gifts for attention. What goals will she have left in the game if everything has been handed to her? I don't see much difference between that and being a backseat gamer on stream. Just donate your real money if you want to be nice to her.

Speaking from at least what I saw in places like the TF2 and Counter-Strike communities, RWT only helps build distrust between the playerbase and the devs, plus is absolutely swamped with scammers, so yeah I _highly advise_ against trying to put any game currency to USD conversions into practice. Keep those things as power level metrics.
You're better off putting the skills needed to get these items into stuff like trying out esports, running a gaming channel, or even game devving instead, if anyone reading this is so much as thinking about going down the black market path.

It is against the rules, yes.
That doesn't mean that the black market stops existing though. It's a useful metric to get an idea of what an item is worth, especially for people who don't play the game already. Showing the black market price isn't promoting engaging with the black market.
