I really love your art book. Each page is varied and inspiring, showing that art doesn’t have to be complicated to be good. I have seldom painted in my life, mostly I just do random sketches and doodles, but this has convinced me to really get into painting!
Mountains trip paintings are my faves!!!!

Thanks for sharing! I particularly liked the second-to-last page spread (gotta love those neons) and the spread with the chicken where you incorporated a lot of teal. Looks like you’re having fun while creating!

Hi Melanie, just an idea for your yellow fish painting. I think you should try going over the background with an ultramarine or dioxazine purple gouache and maybe some white splatters👍 I think it would make the fish pop!😁

You finished it!! 🙌 Yay! I loved the studio ghibli and cat paintings the most. The last turtle sketch was so colorful as well.. But I really loved how you picked themes and colors to unite your two page stories. I bought a moleskin, but then got a huge portrait one as well. Drew a pretty girl using a reference trying the Loomis method and it ended up off but a perfect rendition of the actress Emma Roberts (not intended). My proportions game is still off after a couple years off portrait painting. This is the second time I drew someone and it ended up looking great, but like a different actor/actress. Using this ginormous moleskin to up my portrait game. Hopefully, I can fill it in 2 years time. It's at least 11x14 inches.
Anyways, thanks for the sketchbook show. I enjoyed all your pics and use of different media. I want to try to mimic your negative painting of the leaves in either gouache or watercolors. One of these days...

I must say that it was a hard job just trying to choose only one as my favourite out of the paintings in your wonderful sketchbook, I loved so many of them. But by far the most amazing painting imho, was the curling wave! That painting was so well done that I thought it was a photograph, and I'm not even joking! That small painting was in my opinion extremely well painted! The colours, shadows, highlights, and attention to detail was so very impressive! Other ones that stood out to me, were the Studio Ghibli ones, which were amazing too!. Your cat paintings were also amazing, as they were so expressive and life like. You are such a gifted, talented artist. I love looking thru your finished sketchbooks, there is always something wonderful on every page, it's just like finding treasure on a beach! sehr schönes Skizzenbuch ^_^ Ich habe das Hahnemühle 100% Baumwoll Skizzenbuch in Arbeit und das Etchr Perfekt skechtbook. Wobei ich das von Etchr noch ein wenig lieber mag. Das Normale Etchr mit dem weißen Umschlag in Coldpressed eignet sich auch sehr gut.

thank you for sharing. Love your work. 😊👍 It's hard to choose ONE favourite..... but I'll say it's the wolf page. (at around 2:33 into the video)... and I LOVE the one that your business card is based on, and the one at around 6:06 into the video... (the cat at an aquarium)....
I use Canson Mixed Media books, for my art journals... (and I have filled many of them).... I have never used a sketchbook, but love to have an art journal that isn't spiral bound, some day....
