Because I know I'm going to get a lot of people asking about it, I didn't use the new PBS Kids logo in this video for two reasons: 1 - It sucks. 2 - PBS hasn't _officially_ made the change yet as of the uploading of this video.
Being from Southern Ontario. I Grew up Watching Treehouse TV stuff. Probably My Fav Show on that network at the time was Waybuloo. but later moved on to watching Spongebob on YTV. Nowadays. I Don't really watch Spongebob Anymore. But i still have some DVDs of it
For you personally, you got to see new episodes of Nickelodeon/YTV shows before Canadians did because most, of YTV's programs were produced by Nick, and they first aired on Nickelodeon, and then, three, six, or one year later, they would air on YTV. The shows from both channels are awesome. They really gave the go for great tv shows. And many YTV, and Treehouse shows very rarely or never aired in the United States, and other countries. I'd say that most shows from YTV, and Treehouse were produced with big effort, and they are still doing that today, and i think that those channels are the top Dogs and Cats, when it comes to animated programs.
“Still kicking butt today”??? Umm, YTV has been DYING since the early 2010’s my guy. They literally got rid of all of their good shows such as their anime and their hosts. After Carlos left, the hosts they had for the zone are just cringe worthy to watch. We didn’t need more than two hosts for the zone. Also: you can tell they have nothing to show anymore on their channel because most of the shows they air are terrible/mid. Not to mention they air movies everyday now instead of Sundays which makes NO sense to have “Big Fun Movies” around anymore.
I remember one part of YTV I missed called “The Zone” and a block for movies called “Big fun movies” not to be confused with “Sunday family movie” from TVOkids and I grew up watching Treehouse.
Pretty interesting history on YTV and Treehouse TV even though I never been to Canada I have seen Canadian shows in my childhood such as Franklin and even Franklin and Friends and some other shows that I remember like Max and Ruby and I do remember checking out promos on CZcams and even next bumpers such as Thomas and Friends Barney and Friends and Blue's Clues for examples and by the way Blue's Clues does have a reboot in 2019 and I absolutely love it I'm not going to explain the title because I might spoil it. Overall pretty nice history on YTV and Treehouse TV in Canada maybe someday in the future you could do Disney XD.
I forgot to mention that after YTV Jr. was discontinued. YTV continued to air preschool programs, but without a brand identity. In 2010 YTV tried again with YTV Playtime, but the writing was on the wall, because YTV Playtime ended in 2013, and preschool programs stopped airing on the channel. This was also around the time when YTV started airing more sitcoms than anime or preschool shows. Therefore YTV Playtime shutdown in 2013, and Pokemon stopped airing on YTV on September 2nd, 2014.
Also. According to CEO1000Able. In The Night Garden was also Broadcasted on Hub Bub. A Network i never even heard of. TBH. I Didn't Think In The Night Garden Would Air in the US at all.
In the 90s these were standard for junior camps. Sony was starting. Pretty decent stuff. Teletoon is YTV biggest rival. Hard to pick one from a group of awesome cartoons of course.
Hey Medora, I have liked your channel retrospective and was wondering since you have covered a channel from my past, (Treehouse and YTV) could you cover Baraem and Jeem TV, it had shows from Qubo, Nickelodeon and other channels and There’s a lot of information on These channels. I know, right? LMAO
Ytv and Treehouse are still kicking butt today, they said they're airing WB animated content that are for cartoonito USA for Treehouse TV

Lol
@bluew0lf100 Dying is an understatement. In 2024 they only have a couple of advertisers for commercials, and that's it!
Treehouse tv brought nostalgic cartoons on nick Jr and pbs kids here in the U.S
