Addiction is so hard - I would say most never get the help they need. It’s taking over our country- drugs, depression, ED…. It goes on and on. I am so glad that you fought through and are doing well now. That’s s huge accomplishment. Jason also battled his entire life and finally changed his life about 10 years ago. He says it was like someone else’s life when he thinks about it now. People can change and they can get well! 💛💛💛

I can relate with this subject. My then 13 year old had a eating disorder and tried to commit the unthinkable when a teacher reached out to me. My daughter is now 20 and still battles it a bit . Just last week my daughter 7 yr old son witness his mom blackout and lifeless body hit the floor from drinking so much alcohol. He ran to her then had to be told to breath bcuz it shocked him so bad he grabbed his chest and just stared. Her alcohol levels were at a 1.9. 4 years prior I received a phone call at 6am telling me my daughter was brought by ambulance to the hospital at 4am and was on life support from alcohol levels being over 3.0. This is when & how I found out she had a drinking problem. I thought that incident would’ve prompt a turnaround for her but needless to say it did not. She’s been w/o a drink that I know of for 5 days and hopefully she continues to fight and press through it bcuz I know it’s an uphill battle. Stay strong Jen, you all will get through this and so will the rest of us who are struggling with our own personal or family battles. I’m happy to hear that she’s someplace where she can get the help she needs🙏🏾!!! Thanks for sharing ❤

This story is way too familiar now. The prescription after a minor surgery or just a tooth pulled. And then it spirals into an addiction. I hate that this is happening to so many families. Then, I watched April talking about her past circumstances. On the struggle bus, boat or plane we may be on - no one really knows what’s going on except the person and God. It takes a lot of courage to put any tidbit of a flaw out there, even for me. But…those flaws help people and yourself to strategize and rework unwelcoming situations. We do try to have fun and keep the channel light but I think it is necessary to keep that realness with you guys at this point. We have so many of you that follow every video and are such wonderful supporters- we don’t want to portray this facade that our lives are always perfect. It’s a lot of the reason my daughter is having the issues she is having ( social media perfection). April and I have been though some tough financial times and have always gotten through it. We spoke about these things at length with each other over the years and that ultimately became why we started the channel. We just thought, “Hey, if we can help someone avoid even one pitfall that we had- it will be awesome.” We are so thrilled with the response and the comments we get telling us how we’ve helped in some way- they are by far, the favorite ones! I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. I know about addiction too. It was opioids from a simple prescription for my daughter, and it spiraled out of control. It decimated my finances, my relationship with her, and everything. But God did and is bringing us thru it. I am praying for you and your family, a special prayer for your daughter. This story is way too familiar now. The prescription after a minor surgery or just a tooth pulled. And then it spirals into an addiction. I hate that this is happening to so many families.

Praying 🙏 for your family and daughter. I heard on the news radio commercial that the was a whistle blower that worked for Facebook that said that it as well as other social media platforms that are causing multiple eating disorders in teens and now there is a class action lawsuit.
I heard something about this… social media has definitely played it’s part. No doubt about that!

Good super early morning ☕️ The first thing that I thought of was Jenn this when I opened my eyes. I had watched this video multiple times and just silently praying. Then, I watched April talking about her past circumstances. On the struggle bus, boat or plane we may be on - no one really knows what’s going on except the person and God. It takes a lot of courage to put any tidbit of a flaw out there, even for me. But…those flaws help people and yourself to strategize and rework unwelcoming situations. So, I will continue to pray 🙏 for both of you and to thank you for all that I see you do through this channel. I see 2 tough cookies who can get through this. Everything’s going to be alright 🕊💜🕊
Thank you so much for taking your time to write such a thoughtful thing to us. We do try to have fun and keep the channel light but I think it is necessary to keep that realness with you guys at this point. We have so many of you that follow every video and are such wonderful supporters- we don’t want to portray this facade that our lives are always perfect. It’s a lot of the reason my daughter is having the issues she is having ( social media perfection).
April and I have been though some tough financial times and have always gotten through it. We spoke about these things at length with each other over the years and that ultimately became why we started the channel. We just thought, “Hey, if we can help someone avoid even one pitfall that we had- it will be awesome.”
We are so thrilled with the response and the comments we get telling us how we’ve helped in some way- they are by far, the favorite ones!
