I have been trading since 2005 and used pretty much all software out there. I too settled with Fairbot in the end because it is the perfect balance between simplicity and effectiveness/reliability. The vast majority of people do not need super complicated features and I would say 95+% of people who do want to use automation tools will be able to do what they want to do on Fairbot. I use automation everyday on it and it is very reliable & you can get very creative with it.
This is also an important point. Some other automation applications are buggy and whilst they claim to offer hundreds of features, often do not trigger all your bets in a reliable manner. Sometimes, less is more. The whole point of automation is to free your time up to analyze the data and not be constantly checking to see if the software did as it was told. So in my opinion, anybody who has never tried Fairbot should give it a month and I think most will be pleasantly surprised that it does everything they actually ever wanted and it is good value for money too.

I agree with this 100%! I have been a huge fan of Fairbot for years, wouldnt want to use anything else!

Yes that is a great move, it helps as well have it right there and not having the flick between 2 screens or have it on a tiny window in the corner where you can hardly read the score lol

i use Betangel currently, but looking to switch to Fairbot based on info from the BTC forun, plus to do automation cheaper than BA

Thanks, Ryan I've tried a few in the past, bet angel, (too techy) bet bot (bit pricey) and geeks toy, (too messy.) None of them improved my ability to trade, and with the monthly charges just added to my losses if I'm honest. Finaly settled on gruss cos it's cheap,(£6p/m) and does the job, apart from the lack of automation.

I like it, you might never need the automation.

@@BetfairTradingCommunity I was involved at the start of GRUSS with Gary (17 years ago!) .. when it didn't have any automation.... then Gary added the api and you could automate via Excel.. still does that as far I know.

Do any of the Bot programs come with a VPS? Or would I have to subscribe to that seperately?

I use layback bot for Betfair. it is fairly simple to use and after a week about 7£ a month for three bots.. needs a lot of tweaking. The downside is I cant seem to find support and community on it to share settings etc. The main guy on it is Brazilian. So might try fairbot.

BetJet Pro for me. New kid on the block, innovative and unbelievably fast. Browser based and great on a Mac. Pay monthly if desired. Way way faster than Bet Angel, which I have a subscription to but have stopped using because it's too slow for my needs. BJP for cricket and tennis especially, where you need speed, really helps me vs all other software I've used.. I don't trade horses but it's got some innovations for that too.

Depends what your strategies are, certainly for horse racing bet angel comes out top, tried geeks toy, you need a degree to set that up , for football unless youre dutching or bookmaking you may as well just use the betfair interface

@@BetfairTradingCommunity much easier to use than geeks toy, especially the bet angel graphs , much quicker than betfair graphs , geeks toy have their own graphs but they are seriously complicated to set up, tried TPD on bet angel, this is software that recieves a signal from the saddle cloth of a horse and shows you how fast a horse is running, position etc, sounds like a game changer but really needs a lot of work doing on it as I found out the software really didnt give me an advantage , bet angel also easy to use for dutching and bookmaking
