Psycho-Pass is one of the greatest anime of all time, even with the disappointing Psycho-Pass 2 and differing Psycho-Pass 3. But, 3's movie, First Inspector, leaves the door open for a potential return to glory for the franchise, in a satisfying wrap up of the Psycho-Pass world. There's a lot to be read into in the latest season and movie, and I think they can give us a good look at what might come in Psycho-Pass 4, the finale of Kogami, Akane, Arata, and Kei's stories.

They mentioned reveling Sibyl’s reality to the public several times during the anime so I think it will be the main event or the starting point for the next season
True, I guess the question is will it be revealed ideally for them by their choice, or unideally by someone else?
What I'm looking forward to in season 4 would be what type of government would replace the current system because as seen in the movies, the whole world is in chaos and there's no better alternative but that of Japan's. I don't think democracy works well in the future anymore. Akane did mention she wants to correct the system from within so I hope they give us that.
Yeah, out of the possibilities I think an adaptation of Sibyl is the best one. It also fits much more with the cyclical and grey endings we've seen before, where they accept that Sibyl is wrong to them, but needed
I agree on this one, the fact that the judgement of the Sibyl is not fair since s1.
@@ProfessorViral yes possible because sybl has been improved in every season and taking consideration but thing is that some people think that sybl makes judgement wrong .the latent criminal has many percentage of chances that he will commit crime because sybl know that much about brain that it told whether person is able to commit crime when he just born or toddler so sybl know how mind develop and it is very much difficult to change unconscious mind but the thing that make sybl wrong is not having emotion or feeling and what make the person latent criminal if you see s1 first ep a girl crime cofficient increase because of condition such hatred has developed that she will do anything to protect herself still sybl show enforcement action but there is trigger in gun so there is human fault .sybl has taken the thing from human that makes them human like stress what to do in future and many relationship and by overcoming it the joy we feel .they are just cog which are completely depend on machine .thats why i dont like sybl because of lack human interference and human detective skill .many people can control their mind after taking stress .stress is first step by overcoming it we go to next step. still want to write but can't .but i am very sad that this anime is not much popular that there is no instagram pages with active follower .
That's why if they want the society they truly seek then they should've adopted ‘The Prime Law based Republic.
At first I was bored expecting it was like the first season, I then gave it a second try and I realized how good the world building is. Everything got interesting.
I still think season 3 is average as a season of Psycho-Pass, but a good anime separated from the originals. And First Inspector opened the door for a lot of interesting possibilities for sure
Do you think the SAD members know Sibyl's truth? I mean we still don't know whether Frederica knows about Sybil or whether Akane made a deal with her to recruit her old unit 1 enforcers. It almost feels like Akane knew she's about to get her hands dirty and left a way for her enforcers to be safe.
I think that final part is the most likely, I feel like SAD is in the dark still. And it seems in character of later Akane to formulate a plan behind the scenes like that
Watched PP Providence in the theaters, movie does it's jobs, explaining why Akane went into jail, what's the deal with Arata's dad, Kougami's return to Japan, Kei's brother, as well as why the bureau changed chief in season 3. Noting much hinting what will they do for season 4

As we all know Makishima Shogo's ideals to eradicate Sybil is still very much alive. Well, atleast in Kogami's mind. I would love the story to make a trajectory where Kogami at some point becomes an antagonist and follows Makishima's ideals since he always talks to him in his head. It would be interesting to see a protagonist turned antagonist. He will be the one to eradicate the system. Then maybe at some point we get a confrontation between Akane and Kogami. Although considering Akane also disagrees with Sybil she might join sides with Kogami. At least makishima's death won't go in vain and his wishes will be fullfilled by Kogami. But the idea here is at some point Kogami will go rogue and against Mwpsb.
I think if he did, and had a plan to end Sybil, he would end up being the one to join Akane. Since she learned the truth, it's likely been brewing in her head how to destroy Sybil, but maintain their society. I think she'll have a master plan for that, and Kogami will put his own raw desire aside for a same end result situation. But, I would love to see him try and enforce his will like he did in season one, once again
akane at some point would change as stated by kirito in s2 cause she's been obeying the "monster" for so long and she's the most logical judge. So it might be possible that the ending of psycho pass would be kogami and akane putting an end to the sibyl system.
Maybe kei and arata would join them too after learning the truth they have been searching
I kinda want to see Arata getting forcefully integrated into Sibyl, too, even if it would be a very heartbreaking moment for Kei and the team when they find out about it... But I still want to see it and I actually half expect them to actually go through with the plot like this.
I would love to see Arata being integrated just to destroy Sibyl from the inside. Total fanservice, and I would love it.
What I don't hope for is Shizuka Homura being the absolute villian of the story. I don't know, I like that character very much, mostly because he kinda put a damper on Shimotsuki as a character at first. I legitemately hope that he get's to have a hand in building up a new social structure, and that he will live to see it all play out. I would hate everything that goes into a Thanos-like direction, as in they let him reach (his) villainous goals just so he can be killed off after that. In a bit shorter: I wouldn't like for them to pressure his character into the same situation as Makishima before him. I can see the resemblence, but to be honest, in him I see a very different angle than Makishima had. I don't see him as a villain in that sense. Of course Psycho-Pass 'villains' were always complicated and had more to them than a simple villain persona... But I still would be very frustrated if he is the big bad in the end, and it ends up being him that needs to be taken down under all circumstances. Sibyl is probably trying to make him a pawn like Mika, hell, even like Makishima, but I can see this fail, like it failed with Makishima. For everything that happens after that, I really hope Shizuka is his own character and has different morals than Makishima.
Fuck, I just realize I'm way too invested into Shizuka Homura, more then I was in Makishima, and this will probably make me very sad when they finally drop the 4th season. xD
I'll just have to wait and see, what they have in store for their audience. :P

Long posts are all good, it let's me know I'm getting people thinking, or at least giving them an outlet which is fantastic! Although I'm not personally as attached to Homura, I understand the want for him to be his own character, separate from what they did before. Watching him come up as a pawn, only to destroy them in the end, would be a fantastic arc for him

I think she'll at least be the most prominent of the original cast, and with a connection to the new main two may be focused on at points

I hope that Gen Urobuchi will come back to write season 4. He was the main creator/writer of the acclaimed first season.
At this point I want them to simply ditch the elements of Season 1 that remain and embrace being something new. I hate seeing that story which should have ended be dragged out. But, his take on the rest of the world could be fun
@@ProfessorViral Absolutely. His writing in the first season was so incredible and engaging. I can definitely see him coming back to write a tragic/bittersweet conclusion on the fourth season. Also, there's going to be a movie prequel to the third season called Psycho Pass: Providence. It's going to be released in May.

I actually don't think so. Makishima never told him, and Akane never did either. I'm not sure if his Sinners movie changed that though

I don't think so, I believe they're going to be used in side roles, mainly there as a draw for old fans. Depending on how long the next season is, they may wrap up their stories as well, but I think it'll be a short and sweet wrap up overshadow by Arata and Kei
@@ProfessorViral Because I was amazed by first season, then I tried the second but meeh, nothing close, though those 2015 and 2018 films with akane and kogami were somewhat rewarding to see (especially those Makishima-Kogami vibes). And now I don't know whether I want to see 3rd season...

@@Rellight I recently found out season 2 was made by another anime studio while the original creators of season 1 worked on the movies. season 3 is back to being done by the original makers and seem to disregard everything that happened in season 2 so I'd reccomend the 3rd season. Very different from season 1 but still has the addictive nature

if the original character really will not do much on the 4th season probably the final season of psycho pass i hope they at least make a standalone movie about them maybe about one of the mission that they do while working as an inspector for the ministry of foreign affairs that doesn't have anything to do with the story of psycho pass so far. because come on i think the original fans of psycho pass that loves the original character more than this new character also think about this to at some point, the original psycho pass character deserve one more great stories weather that be a movie or a series. well that just my opinion though feel free to leave a reply if you agree with me.
