You must have seen some other race. The KTMs don't lose on the straights at all. 0:53 he does not lose even a centimeter. This thing that Ducati wins just because the bike is fast on the straights is bs to begin with, but this time is also laughable.

When you are right behind someone, you have a slipstream. With a slipstream Brad was able to JUST stay with Pecco.
The Ducati is incredibly fast to tow other bikes up the straight.
@@samblack5313 Then go and watch the full race again, and you'll see that when Pecco was behind one of the KTMs, he wasn't gaining on them either. If you have the MotoGP video pass, check the race at 1:40:05 (4 laps to go, the back straight). Identical situation as the one I pointed out here, but with Pecco behind Binder. Absolutely 0 gain from the Ducati.

Sure, but a fourth time would seem a little excessive.
What I did see was many onboards of Pecco blasting past KTMâs down to drysac, and brilliant braking stopping him from completing a pass.
The KTM isnât a slug, but the Ducati was towing it up the straight.
When you are that close and canât pull out of the slipstream because youâre not making ground, the bike in front is much faster.
Brad did not give up. Pecco fought well to keep the KTM's in his sights. I'm sorry Brad did not get the win, but KTM has shown itself to be a contender this season at last!
The engineers KTM poached from Ducati seem to have brought some valuable knowledge with them to KTM. I expect Honda to throw some good money at Ducati engineers KTM-style. Yet, they won't be able to Build a Ducati.
@@ampm9771 to be fair to KTM, they were getting the bike sorted year by year, and they know very well what they're working with and what they want to do so the ex-Ducati engineers had at least a good base (team- and bike-wise) to work with. Honda seems to be just straight up lost right now, same as Yamaha, so poaching engineers from other teams won't make much difference.
@The Goose Yeah right! and poaching a boatload of Ducati' top engineers and technical director had nothing to do with their overnight surge to the top. They have Ducati engineers onboard and Bingo, they're at the front. Without Ducati knowhow, they'd be the backmarkers they've always been. They got overnight improvements, especially in the engine department and traction. I expect Honda to be the next in line to poach Ducati engineers. KTM has essentially built an orange Ducati, look how many of Ducati ideas are on their bike. KTM With its deep pocket was not going anywhere until they got a bunch of Ducati engineers showing them how to build a motogp machine.

@@ampm9771 KTM has been winning since 2020, and they always had at least 1 rider in the top 10 in the championships since the 2020 season. The KTM is still a lot different to Ducati right from the frame of their bikes, to the fairings, etc, and it slides a lot (likely by design), while the Ducati rides more like it's on rails. And you're saying KTM is just an orange Ducati?
Binder has always been champion material. Give him a decent bike an you'll see some magic
If the bike was not decent, what was Miler doing on the podium?
Last year, on a factory Ducati, he was 5th, 12 seconds behind Pecco.

pecco is so clean... bike's bit unstable... he saved the tires well... Hope he gets bit more feeling into the front, get more into late breaking... he's already riding like it's not a ducati, but a yamaha or a honda... you need to be more aggressive to get the maximum out that bike... Starting back in the order helped him get back to the rhythm.

It was definitely nervewrecking watching Pecco last race because of his history of falling on a lead. Not to mention his bike is sliding several times during the last seven laps or so, but he's quite good at braking and saving tires, and it works this time.
Pretty sure Ducatis have a reputation for being the most stable bike in the braking zone.
Their strength is they can pass you on the straight, and their strength on the brakes means you will never pass them back. Itâs been this way for a while.
@@45orangedonnietherussianmo96 Everyone so jealous about straight line speed and ability to put the power down... racing is more about corner speed and ability push the bike into the corner... every on the track is better at it than the ducati... it is the cost of trying to be the fastest.. every other bike will go through the same phase when they reach these speeds..

I would wait for a couple of weekends before to say KTM is the strongest bike on the grid. Here KTM had test before to ride, that means more information, so its riders were quite ready to challange from friday. But ktm surely made a good job anyway.

Two long lap penalties for him, one for Franco. It sure I would have penalised either as both were racing incidents on the second corner of lap 1, on a go kart track.
We might lose Yamaha like Suzuki at this rate. This is just damaging their brand image.
@@samblack5313 I think HRC leaves first. I know that sounds crazy, but they aren't even making their own frames, they're Kalex now. That would actually be a good bet to make with a buddy. Who leaves MGP first...Yamaha or HRC.

Interesting. I reckon Honda are too big and have dominated too recently to fold. The Japanese are a proud people, but maybe they mail it in for the rest of this era?
I figure the switch to alternate power has got to be a decade away-ish. Fossil fuels have almost done their dash.
For Yamaha, switching engine design is a big spend for tech that will be gone in a decade, but they can no longer compete with an inline.
Ducati with 8 sets of days per week are just going to keep growing that advantage.
If Binder had just had some more patience the KTMs would have gapped away from the field. They need to work together, Jack had the best pace earlier on, maybe swap positions in controlled way so both can manage tyres. you need to be a team boys..
Itâs not F1, and I would never want it to be. Let them race. Leave the politics and team rubbish over there with the rich kids.

Pecco rides just like Casey stoner, he won on a bike that nobody could even finish on podium with, he won with Mahindra which was a 10th rate bike in moto3.
Casey was a far superior talent. He was winning on a bike that it wasnât possible to win on.
@Sam Black Pecco has proven himself. Where he won races on Mahindra, others couldn't even finish a race on. Winning on Mahindra was an impossible task, which he did. Not to forget that Pecco mopped the floor with Binder and Quartararo in moto2 on a 2nd string VR46 bike.

p3cco cuma ngepush sekali saat 0vertake , selebihnya cuma muter2 di racing line,tapi sangat cepat, duc4ti harus sangat hati2 dan harus selalu mempertahankan motor agar tetap menjadi yg tecepat, karna jika motor duc4ti mampu disamai ktm, maka sepertinya mustahil bagi pecco buat ngelawan level ngepush motor yg cukup tinggi seperti binder. beberapa kali memiliki keadaan yg sama seperti binder yg mengharuskan memaksa ngepush motor, pecco tidak sanggup melakukannya, kalo tidak main aman maka lebih buruk.

More boring Ducati wins, another gifted title for Bagnaia, so boring and predictable. He has the best bike by a mile, nothing more. It's boring to see the same old top 10. So many championship contenders crashing, it's embarrassing.
Quartararo deserved the penalty for wiping out Oliveira, but still got off lightly though. Imagine if that was Marc, all hell would break loose. Commentators were also saying that the penalty was a joke, but again if that was Marc they would call for him to be penalised. Double standards.
Bagnaia deserved the penalty too for barging Miller out of the way. About time other riders get the Marquez treatment from the stewards.
The more KTM succeed and the more Honda fail, the bigger the chance of Marc making a switch sooner rather than later. If Miller or Binder can win on it, Marc would dominate with ease. That KTM is a great bike, Pedrosa doesn't even race, he's way past and and Marc is miles quicker than him, so imagine what Marc could do on the KTM. That may be a good move if Honda don't get their act together.
It's a shame Marc is not competing, he'd be competing for poles and wins for sure, can't wait till he returns. Mir crashes every race, Rins is nowhere to be seen now and crashed, top Honda outside the top 10. What a mess at Honda without Marc.
The MotoGP weekend is going to be super dull without Marc.
