Yeah I loved Rihan so much. I always wanted to know more about him. Also Rihan must be OP cause he was perfect balance between human and yokai. And the fact he had Yohime's Healing Ability.
I think they made an OVA about that a few years back, if I’m no mistaken. I remember because the only scene I remember was Rihan snapping because Setsura (I think that was her name) mentioned Yamabuki Otome (Hagoromo Gitsune’s host body), And strangling her.

I'm just seriously pissed that they didn't make a 3rd season to wrap things up. Yet Naruto is still getting huge publicity and another damn movie and a bunch of other crap. If my assumptions are correct, the director made some alterations to the anime that the author didn't like or agreed upon. (The director wanted Rikuo's partner to be Kana but the author intended it to be Yuki-Onna(just an example. There may be more issues the director changed)). So this may have caused the author to actually stop working with the anime and didn't approve any further seasons. I'm not entirely sure. I'm just connecting some dots and making assumptions I suppose but this is what I could come up with that makes sense.
That's some major bull, lol. It was literally confirmed that Rikuo and Tsurara were at the very least attracted to one another, and the fact that the director tried to change anything at all is already horrible. The manga is perfect the way it is. That's just really unfortunate :/

After finishing the manga a few years ago, coming back to watch the anime still brings back such good memories... I wish they continued with season 3... :( Awesome quality anime, amazing effects and animation and art... And the story was so good, and Rikuo was so badass.

I wish there were more Wakana and Rihan moments but sadly there aren't. Sometimes it feels like the fandom tends to forget about Wakana and Rihan, but it's not there fault considering the fact that there is more Yamabuki and Rihan moments.... Wish the author actually explained and got into depth between Wakana's and Rihan's relationship more.....

Is Kana more popular than Yura? I could see the chemistry of Kana and Rikuo I suppose, whenever they have scenes, especially the one where Kana is on the front lines, I admit that is sweet. But I'm more into forbidden stuff personally. Yura and Rikuo are the heads of their respective clans in the end, a youkai clan and a youkai-slayer clan. I couldn't see the thing about master and servant of Tsurara and Rikuo. Perhaps I do not like how Tsurara practically raise Rikuo and I saw her as a sort of mother-hen(she's so protective of him) to Rikuo. I suppose I'm uncomfortable with the idea so I never felt their chemistry. Heck, when the mirror thing came out Kana is my first thought but when Yura goes badass she became my bias.
Still want to watch the tale of Rihan amd Yamabuki otome. But i hope Rikuo end up with Tsurara. Rihan couldnt had children with Yamabuki because of the curse... I really didnt want rikuo have the same situation
