Oklahoma's stadium actually was updated to a complete bowl a few years back
Matt Wolverton that was exactly what I was about to say. It’s actually kind of a bowl now instead of being open
the scoreboard was the biggest as well at the time.
The big screen in the south end zone is the biggest in all college football
Actually Auburn’s screen is still bigger but not by a lot.
Last year I was in that section on its first game
Please do 25 more college stadiums. It's fun find out fun little things about all of them.
Can't wait for him to finally end up doing something like Mid Major Basketball Arenas or something. You know he'll get there, and you know that video will be good

...as do I...
...have always enjoyed going to other school's games...going to Memorial Stadium at KU in Lawrence next week (where the teams & the marching band outnumber the fans in the stands)...
...then to DKR Stadium at Texas in Austin in mid-November...
...looking forward to both trips...
I laughed way to much at the key joke on the Michigan one
14:20 Did you really have to mention the Ohio States Salvation Army Marching Band?
Seriously
well... me too ;-)
Neyland Stadium (officially pronounced "Knee-land") also had dorms under the south and east side like LSU, and from '88 when they closed until last year, most of the space was used for storage by the anthropology department to house its collection of over 3000 cadavers. Yes, there were actually bodies under Neyland 😂
Also, I think an honorable mention should've gone to Bristol Motor Speedway (capacity: 170,000) for hosting the largest ever attended college football game back 2016, Tennessee vs. Virginia Tech
I have also heard of The Body Farm and that is also a part of the anthropology department. The guy that made that concept absolutely changed the game for homicide investigations. Moreover, the archaeology department has also used their findings to help shed light on how people lived, as well as died, in historical times as well, so it is literally the gift that keeps on giving.
waiting for somebody to put the line from The Blind Side.

I played at Neyland Stadium a few weeks ago. Playing in front of the crowd and seeing the checkered field is an experience I will never forget
what team do you play for?
Nebraska's Memorial Stadium holds 92,000 after the 2011 renovations. Sell out streak number was correct though. I'll be there for 366 on Saturday
I thought it held more than what he said.
Impressive to have that streak remain active through your worst season.... every? ... No doubt the dedication of Nebraska football fans is rivaled to none. You guys started the tradition of all one color... for decades it's been a "Sea of Red" ... Good to have you guys in the B1G
Gbr and this comment comes after we won against Michigan state n almost won against Ohio state we have ome of the best quarter backs in college football n he's a freshman husker train is starting to roll full steam watch out in the next couple years we will b back on top
ADKenkel they will always sell out because every team in the big ten will travel to see Nebraska fans have the heart ripped out of their chest. But seriously, as a Wisconsin fan I will make a trip every time we play there. Unbelievably loud, the home fans are great, and I love the Nebraska football history. Thank you for mentioning the waving tradition at Iowa. That is one thing for which everyone should be very supportive.
I was happy to be part of the very first wave. I am proud to be an Iowa fan.
Nebraska fan here. As much as I hate to say it that’s a pretty cool tradition.
Super cool tradition that has my support as a Michigan fan as well. Kinnick Stadium seems to be one of the best environments out there and I would love to visit.
I’m a husker fan and I strongly dislike the Hawkeyes and Iowa in general but the wave is a really cool tradition.

Sandstorm is one of those songs where it’s a great song, but since it’s a meme, everyone hates it. It’s a shame.
Only people who keep up with memes, to be fair.
The meme died years ago though. I personally think it's recovered
I got nothing against the South Carolina Gamecocks but unfortunately I just think they have a some of lame traditions compared to other schools. Sandstorm chief among them.
With only mediocre success, the Gamecocks have one of the loudest and most faithful fan base in college football (at least through three quarters)
Worst tradition in CFB goes to Miss State with those fucking bells. The SEC should have kept the ban and penalized the team for that shit.
Columbia, MO: Come for Faurot Field. Stay (or continue to visit) for the Blue Note...

Nice video, man. Keep going videos about NCAA Football stadiums 😎😀
I don't even watch college football, or football period, but man was this a fun video to watch. Hilarious on top of it, but my God, I didn't know some of these stadiums were that insanely massive.
I used to watch Maty Mauk play in high school (mainly when he would destroy my hometown team and leave me in ruin) and had such high hopes for him... he had high hopes, but for something much more different than football.
As a native Nebraskan, the frost really does hurt here
It’s because there’s mostly freshmen on Nebraska
Do you realize how young Nebraska is this year. It takes time he got players who were not developed by a good coach. We better destroy buthune cookman. GBR

IdahoRodgers USMC You have no idea what you are talking about. Pelini was terrible for the school. Regressed every year and could not recruit. Part of the reason why Riley failed so hard (aside from his own ineptitude) was because Pelini left the cupboard dry. That’s why the talent level in Lincoln is so low.
He called Urban Meyer retiring😂

Wow...no shit. Most big stadiums do.
@@shooter4805 Michigan and Ohio State do it pretty much every game.. Didn't bama have attendance issues this year?
@@KeystoneState Attendance issues? No ...The issues were with the student body leaving runaway games early.

I’d watch again just for the hilarious commentary. Well done!! 🤣🤣🤣 ROLL TIDE.
If you ever get a chance, try to see a game in the Rose Bowl. There is nothing like it. I have been to a number of college stadiums (Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas and others) but nothing beats the Rose Bowl on a sunny fall day when the San Gabriel Mountains glow in the background.
Well the Gamecocks don’t come out to Sandstorm they come out to 2001: A Space Odyssey. Sandstorm just plays during the games
Great video! But 8:28 Oklahoma has since renovated the stadium the enclose it, ensuring more Boomer Sooner for all in attendance.
You forgot to mention when Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium is fully seated, it temporarily becomes the 3rd largest city in Nebraska
In "The Blind Side" Sandra Bullock's character told him NOT to go to Tennessee, "because they have bodies buried under the stadium."
Well, yes and no. No, no bodies are "buried under the stadium". BUT... South Stadium Hall houses the offices for the Anthropology Department at UT. The UT Anthropological Research Facility (AKA the Body Farm) does store the skeletal remains of the bodies used at the Body Farm in storage rooms, underneath the stadium, in South Stadium Hall, once all primary forensic research has been performed on the bodies.
You should do worst 25 stadiums in college football. And if this video happens because of me WSU's Martin stadium better be included. Roast my beloved stadium

"the wave" is what sports is about, that really is awesome
Spent time at University of Iowa Hospitals- staying with my elderly Dad- Had a chance to visit and tour the Children's hospital observation area- it is awesome and the wave is awesome. LSU’s stadium was updated in 2017 so now it holds even more people
i was in ann arbor once during a game, i wasnt there for the game but i could hear the roar of the stadium from miles away, it was incredible.
Kyle Field has a lot not mentioned in the video. Tell me about your favorite school's stadium in comments below!
1. The 12th Man is so loud that I once could hear the fans from 2 miles away.
2. The north end of the field has a cemetery dedicated to all deceased Reveille mascots (Reveille VIII was recently buried there). After an expansion closed off the north side of the field, a scoreboard was placed there so they can watch every Aggie win.
3. "Sawing the horns off" shakes the stadium so much that it once made Kirk Herbstreit nervous. Texas A&M athletes are known for jumping into the crowd to join the 12th Man in this tradition, but (American) football is the only exception I know of due to safety reasons.
4. The second expansion added the "Hall of Champions" on the west side of the field.
5. Unlike most stadiums in America, Kyle Field is surrounded by statues that celebrate the 12th Man rather than the program history.
6. Alabama fans can get excited that Alabama coaches Paul "Bear" Bryant and Gene Stallings, both with connections to Texas A&M, are both represented with their names in the stadium and on local streets. For more about both coaches' ties to the university, type "Junction Boys" in an internet search engine.
7. The largest attendance at Kyle Field also is the largest ever in the state of Texas for a (American) football game: the 2014 game against Ole Miss at 110,631 (including myself). This record will most likely stand for a very long time, as the current expansion (from what I know) cannot hold this many spectators.
8. Kyle Field is one of the few (if not the only) stadiums in the world where the fans do not boo at the opposing team. However, the 12th Man is known to hiss at the opposition and at bad calls. This was once noted by a grateful Nick Saban on his weekly radio show after a road win at Kyle Field in 2015.
9. The partially demolished stadium in the video was taken in 2015 during the second expansion (west side) that was completed just before the 2016 season.
10. The 12th Man had a tradition of "standing on the wood." This meant that students would stand on the bleachers (formerly made of wood - hence the name) for the entire game except at halftime or during injuries. This tradition was discontinued after the 2015 season due to safety reasons, but that didn't stop students from disobedience.
11. While the 12th Man is known for being loud, the quietest it probably ever got was when Johnny Manziel hurt his knee in a game against Missouri in 2012. From what I've heard, you could hear a pin drop in the stadium.
We get it. Y'all have a large cult in college station 😂

Stadium design does more for sound than attendance... also piping in noise.
@@encycl07pedia- pretty sure Clemson doesn't pipe in noise...
