Maybe the best overall song production of any band in the past few decades

For me..Kanami Tōno, lead guitarist and composer, is the most impressive musician of the 21st Century. Pure genius as a composer, very unselfish, composes always to the whole band to shine. Great reaction to the greatest band on the planet! These ladies have over 120+ songs and all are great. From the best bassist (MISA) to the equally great guitarist (Kanami) to the underrated drummer (Akane). The vocals are unmatched in rock today. Saiki is the lead vocalist with Miku the back up rhythm and back up vocals. Miku writes killer lyrics, although Saiki wrote “Hate?” Directed at an unfaithful husband of a friend of hers. I’ve been around since the Van Halen, Rush days but the best concert I’ve been to is Band Maid….Hands down. Keep up the good work …….. I LOVE BAND MAID ❤❤
Don't You Tell Me from this same okyuji (serving) at Yokohama Arena also has a guitar vs bass duel. The official music video of it is also good and it shows some of the charm points of the band members.Akane eating, Misa drinking, Miku performing omajinai over the food, Kanami fawning over Saiki, Saiki pushing her away and being regal, etc... Both versions would make a great double header reaction.

If you can attend a Okyu-ji (what they call their live concerts and translates to "serving") it's definitely worth the road trip. The energy is through the roof. You will have goose bumps on your goose bumps.😂 Glad to see you really enjoyed the Maids. The musicianship is top class and they have a great time when playing live and it shows. You could do a two-for with "Domination" Official MV and then do "Domination" Official Live MV. As for Baby Metal, they are a fantastic, although they are not for everyone. Their "Kawaii Metal" (Idol trio with a metal band backing them) is unique and has been evolving as they get older, but still good stuff. "Road of Resistance" live in Japan is great. "Headbanger", "Megatsune" and "Monochrome" are also good ones. There are tons of bands in Japan who are just killing it. But, we can get to them after you go through the entire Band-Maid discography of 130+ great songs.😉 PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
I saw this live in Anaheim, it is a blast live. So much energy, just jumping around and having a good time. If you listen to the studio version you’re going to hear the difference. The lives just have so much additional life. Also, that solo section is extended for the live, they do that a bit. Check out the live versions of Domination, Play, and Don’t You Tell ME. I am into Baby Metal to some extent, you should listen to the collab they did with Electric Callboy, Ratatata. It’s amazing.

Regarding Babymetal in the comments. I guess, but might be wrong, that many of us started with Babymetal several years ago, and love them. Babymetal was the opener to Japanese metal for many. Personally I am an old Babymetal fan. I loved them 2010 to 2017 or so, when they were the three original young and cute kids. Totally awesome stuff. In particular large Japanese concerts. After 2017 concerts I lost a bit of interest. They made some good stuff, like Papaya (live) and BxMxC (MV). But, they are coming back! Now grown up and Yui replaced with Momoka. They make mainly collaborations. The Ratatata collaboration with Electric Callboy I do recommend. It is totally outstanding. IMHO you need to see the official MV of that one. The live stuff is good, but the MV is hilarious.

There's definitely a crossover between some B-M fans and Babymetal fans but it's not as strong as as the one which seems to exist between B-M and TW for example. I don't dislike Babymetal at all, just never really grabbed me but I can see why they do for others. If you're looking for some Japanese metal to react to I can recommend both Hanabie and Nemophila. Lovebites seem to be the big band in terms of female Japanese metal though, again not a huge fan myself but they deliver the goods, there's no denying it.

Baby-Metal is a great group to listen to...they are totally different style of Great Music to Band-Maid and in fact you can't really compare them! The Japanese all female rock and metal scene is alive and kicking. I think you shall listen to three more bands: Nemophila, Lovebites and Hanabie.
