Ben sinds mijn jeugd gek op Renault geweest. Ging geregeld langs de dealer voor folders alhoewel Renault destijds boekjes hadden met alle modellen i.p.v. afzonderlijke folders. Wat een nostalgie... heerlijk.

Two beautiful cars. The Fiat 131 was my first ever car, it was a blue saloon with major rust problems whilst the Renault 12 is one of my favourite all time classic cars.
Yours is perhaps the oldest youtube channel extant.
Fiat had an assembly factory in Ireland where the 131 Mirafiori was made and a neighbour of mine who worked there had a beautiful mettalic copper coloured one, only problem was it rusted so badly in damp Irish weather
My Dad loved his Mirafiori saloon had all 3 variants Mk 1 2 and 3

I bought 1975 Renault 12GL wagon in 1991, for $700, and drove it around Australia, Australian-production model 1251cc engine,Avocado Green, Bosch engine electrics., built West Heidelberg, victoria, plant...I think I did 15500kms whole trip...through outback, even drove it on a beach in Western Australia...coincidentally, since you are Dutch, a terrific Dutch backpacker girl Anneke Bootsma from Worden, Arnhem, joined me coming home on last half of that trip. from Alice Springs onwards ... I have played with FIAT 131 Mirafiori and 131 superbrava some too, the Renault is a better car in most ways, the Fiat 131 was always a problem for road and cabin noise, too noisy, even for 1970s...the Renault is whisper quiet at cruising speed, by comparison, part of why I selected it...the FIAT is probably better looking than 70s Renaults, but Renault is better in all other important ways imo..the other reason, is the trip gave me reason to believe '12 is probably strongest small car ever built.
I had Citroen Club 1220 too, another surprisingly good car..
I will have to make my still pics of Renault round-Australia trip into a video and post them on youtube.
Has to be said on this test the R12 is much more peaceful and quieter than the 131

I really like your 131. I had one, not the famigliare version, in the 1980s. I would love to find a decent fiat 128 famigliare because my father had one in the 1970s. However those are rare in good shape so I think I will have to settle for a regular 128.

Come to turkey. You will find a loooot of these kind of cars and many so cheap separe parts also repariers.
-Fiat 131 (Turkish name Murat 131), produced until 2002 (it had facelift at 1988). And in turkey Murat 131 have a lot kind of options - Like air condution, Sedan, SW, Automatic windows. etc. and Engine 1.3 or 1.6 or 1.9D.
After facelift It had name Tofaş Şahin, Doğan, Kartal.
-Renault 12, Produced until 2000 (it also had facelift at 1989)
And it had two kind of engine- 1.3 and 1.4.
There is no winner in this compare. Renault 12 = Murat 131 :)
Or come to Romania. Renault 12 = Dacia 1300 , was 99 % of all the cars till the communism's fall in 1989. Millions of them lol.

see, this is a mk 1 fiat 131 it was just.... bad.
my mk3 fiat 131 supermirafiori has:
electric windows.
air conditioning.
power steering.
power locks.
2000cc twin cam engine.
and certainly looks better than a fucking Renault 12 haha

Renault 12 is a weird-looking car..never liked it. 131 classic lines.
Lelijk, zeker die Fiat. Ik denk dat vanaf de 125 die hier nog voor was, Fiat 20 jaar lang de meest afschuwelijke fantasieloze designfiasco's op de markt is beginnen brengen.
