Harsha sir. I think for England to progress to the semifinals and beyond, Chris Woakes is another player to watch out for. He's always underrated but he performs very well whenever given an opportunity.

Sky just isnt good enough to start.or rather consistent enough. the key to getting 350 regularly is having a good start,iyer striking well in the middle and hardik and jaddu being consistent in the death.

Sky has no technique to play 50 overs. Good bowlers with some assistance from the pitch can expose him. Remember him sweeping the air like a clown for 5 overs against shakib?

Another excellent video. What I liked the most is for stronger teams with many star players Harsha hasn't picked the 2 best players on the contrary he has assumed that they will play well. He picked players who if they perform can take them all the way, see the names from India, Australia, and England as the top favorites you will see what I mean. For teams who are hugely dependent on 2-3 players, Harsha has picked 2 or 1 of the best players. See Pakistan -Best 2, Afghanistan - their best player. On that logic, I would have expected him to pick Gurbaz. Even New Zealand and South Africa would fall in this category 2 best players in their current form. Bangladesh is interesting they have a few senior aging stars whose best performances have been good enough to take them to semis. He has picked 2 young performing players. Sri Lanka no star players in the side he has gone with 2 possible high-impact players. For Netherlands, he has picked the best from 2 departments.

I believe India's fast Bowling and opening has to be on point in order to win the world cup . So Rohit has to be consistent in big games and gill has to score big to put doubts in the minds of opponents. As for pace my pick is siraj if he does well we are winning. As for batting all rounders we have couple of them so we don't have to worry much.

I think india needs Virat to score multiple hundreds in this World Cup and this is not because with his hundreds, the team score batting first will be high or will help during chases but it is also because more often than not when Virat scores a century in Odis(or fifties in t20s), he plays the role of a finisher too and when he is well set, he can be the destroyer in last 5-7 overs of the innings and with Pandya not being the finsher he was, with Jadeja struggling with the bat and Ashwin or Shardul not expected to give much at no. 8, it is important that Virat stays till the end against at least 2 of the 5 quality teams.
India needs Virat to play at a good strike rate. Scoring a 100 at run-a-ball is not going to help the team. I would rather want him to score 80 of 60-65 balls.
@@ArkoRay If you had followed Virat's centuries in Odis in last 1 year then you would have known that all his centuries have come in 80 odd balls and he is someone who even is on 50 off 60 balls but can/will still end up getting to his century in 85 balls.There is absolutely no problem with his overall strike rate in Odis and it will all come down to how well his starts this tournament and then how he can get to 20 in a match.

@@ArkoRay bro when has virat ever played with a bad strike rate in odis. When he finishes his innings his strike rate is always above 120-125. What more do you want? And when he bats the whole team can bat around him and then in the end he can accelerate in the way that only he can in the world. I think India are privileged to have a player like that who provides stability to the lineup. I know all the talk has been around shubman but I don’t think India stand a chance in this wc unless virat kohli produces 500-600 runs because when he scores, more often than not, the team ends up winning.

I think Chris woakes from England is key. More than Wood. Yes wood is good with raw pace on flat tracks in test to have fiery spell. But Woakes is a silent killer with his nippers and variations plus easily a decent enough batsman with quality shot making ability playing in the V.
I believe even though Gill will probably have a fruitful tournament, KL Rahul's success will be more important to India's chances of winning, not just with the bat but also with the gloves.
For India, my picks would be Bumrah and Siraj. India always have had a good batting side, but despite all that, they are still struggling in run chases for huge totals or unable to finish well unless someone like SKY fires. Also, India has never had a problem with good spinner in the middle overs, but what India has never had before is a pace attack capable of rattling the opposition's top order. Its vital that these 2 bowlers take wickets at the start consistently, or the going gets tough for India.

I will pick Virat Kohli above Shubman Gill, Gill is fantastic but we are talking about 9 games. Kohli Simply because it is Virat and only him who can win games while chasing 330+, if he gets in that rhythm of 2016-2018 OR even half of it, he will win games for India single handedly. I don’t think Anybody in our current Indian team is capable of playing 50 overs and staying till the end except for Kohli and he needs to play that role of anchoring till 40-43 overs because Kohli is an underrated finisher, he can smash any bowler in the world if he is set and playing last 5 overs.

Even then, I have one edit to it, in my list. Yes - for India, I will pick Jasprit Bumrah ahead of Hardik Pandya any day.
There is no doubt Bumrah is better a bowler than Hardik Pandya an all-rounder. But I think what Harsha means is the value of Hardik's form both with bat and ball combined is more important to India overall.

For Pakistan no doubt Babar & Shaheen us their best players and they will definitely perform. But to do well in the WC, Shadab & Fakhar must fire. These two are the key to Pak success.
I feel Shaheen will struggle with this fitness playing 9/10 games. It is not easy to adapt condition. Otherwise he'll be among top WK takers.

You’re right about Australia needing Maxwell to fire with the bat but unfortunately he rarely does. I don’t remember any World Cup, T20 or ODI where he has had any significant impact. IMO, at international level, he’s the most overrated and under performing player we’ve had for years. I hope this tournament in India where the conditions are familiar and favourable to him, will see him finally be a significant contributor.
Maxwell vs spin in India is something to watch out for. I reckon he's gonna have a fantastic wc. Also he somehow manages to pick up wickets in d middle
