@@KaraStoneMD Yes, behind the scenes things are scripted. But on camera there is no back stage scripting. If someone gets knocked and doesn't kick out, if the ref counts the 3 they've typically rolled with it. That might have meant some throwaway match the next night to fix the botch, but Seth SHOULD have the title based on how things have been handled in the past.

TKO is a massive company worth billions, they have a legal department with thousands of years combined experience. That is whom legal questions should be deferred too. Brandon knows the head of talent and creative isnt going to speak on legal issues. TKO would be so far up HHH if he answered a legal question he would likely get fired. Brandon knows this atleast he should know this. he ask this question knowing he wont get a response. Now over on Post Wrestling and whatever online gimmick he works for will discuss and rip HHH for not answering the question, at the same time they will pat each other on the back for their perceived virtue. You're looking at it from the wrong perspective though. You're looking at it from a wrestling perspective and not an overall perspective. Actual wrestling is just one aspect of the sport. There is so much more to it then just wrestling. The GOAT or Mount Rushmore question is an always evolving answer as the answer can change era to era as new athletes of their sport come and go.
Sure Cena was an average wrestler, but there is more to it then just the wrestling aspect. Anyone can learn how to wrestle, just look at Logan Paul as an example. It's all the other stuff that ppl don't realize that has an overall impact that an athlete leaves on their sport. Cena hands down is one of, if not the best on the mic that we have ever seen. He knows his character, caters that character to the fans especially kids. On top of that, he has a global reach that most wrestlers don't have. Hogan and maybe Undertaker are probably the only ones that truly have that global reach besides Cena when it comes to connecting with the fans, especially kids (Undertaker not so much with the kids just based on his character).
Although he didn't do much for me, I respect what he has done for wrestling. John Cena is definitely in the Top 10 of all time greats just based on his character and the motivation to never give up schtick that he does every time he comes out. Who knows what kind of impact that message had throughout the years. For anyone who has had suicidal thoughts, his message of never giving up has maybe stopped them from going through with it, who knows. The impact that Cena has had on the industry will echo for decades from now. You can't say that about too many wrestlers.
When you start making a list in no particular order of greatest of all time wrestlers, sure you got Stone Cold, Rock, HHH, Taker, Flair, Hogan, etc but then as you get deeper into that list, it gets harder and harder to list off guys. If Cena isn't in your Top 10 to 25 then you aren't realizing the overall impact that he has had on a global aspect BEYOND wrestling.

MJF should be John Cena's final match. Whether it is at WM or whether Cena wins one more title and MJF cashes in. If MJF debuted at Rumble and then won MITB and then defeated John Cena to send him off and start MJF at WWE that would be wild. Whoever faces Cena at mania unless it is a spotlight match needs to be like the next Roman the guy they want to launch next. Bronn Breaker could be one, Dominique Mysterio could defeat Cena with the Judgement Day and then he can brag about how he defeated Cena at WM. Someone who will be around a while who can carry the heat with them, unless it is going to be like a one off. Meh. They just need to do what worked 20 years ago and re-invent it. Need the rule breaker ‘Austin’ type. The charismatic & athletic funny ‘Rock’ type. The dominant scary big man ‘Taker’ type. You need a lot of great mic workers which they do got, but the Jericho, Punks, etc. At the end of the day it’s about the entertainment as much as it is the wrestling. The characters and mic work need to be elite, more so the characters and Netflix gives them that attitude flair to break the rules a bit.

I’ll be honest as someone who was a die hard WWF/WWE enthusiast in the 90s/00s, I’m not a fan of the guys they push. Just came back into wrestling recently but Cody Rhodes as the top guy who I always seen as a mid-carder. Roman had the look and size and a decent worker, but I just found him super boring. Priest seems the same way. Those type of guys need the taker or Kane gimmicks where they don’t need to use a mic often they just go out there and lay down the law and be a good worker. Triple H and his team really need to tighten the roster and make the right pushes.
