I love the British Country look, I always have. I hate to give my secret away, but my favorite brand for this look is The House of Bruar, in Scotland. They have high-quality, Scottish/British country clothes made with local wools, woven by local mills and made by local brands. I love their blazers, long wool/cashmere, fitted coats and wool mini kilt skirts, among other items. Delivery (to the US is fast) for the distance, under a week, the service is great, and the return process and shipping fee ($18) is reasonable. The sizing is UK, though, so check the size chart for each item. I really screwed up my last order, forgetting the size differences, and had to exchange all the items for the correct sizes. Most UK brands use US sizing on their US websites, but not this one. I buy a lot of UK- and Euro-brand clothes, it’s hard to find that high quality in US brands (Theory excepted, also Lily Silk-a Chinese brand, and Banana Republic, at least until this year when they added a lot of polyester items. Brands keep making the same mistake, they attribute their success to their styles, then offer them in crap plastic fabrics, but it’s the natural materials only that created those whopping great sales figures. Haven Well Within did the same thing this year, it’s not the casual and loungewear styles we loved, but the silks and organic cotton, now it’s polyester items, what a disappointment).
Wow! A wealth of information here, have to check out this brand thanks for entrusting us with your secret! And agree about what you say about quality bait and switch❤️
I really love this! It's so refreshing to have someone show how to style what we may already have instead of just suggesting new things to buy. Not to knock haul videos, but I really love this approach: it's creative, fun, and it helps me feel gratitude for what I already have. Beautiful ideas!

I like your shop your closet suggestions & how to style basics. I can only wear flats due to a knee injury. Would like to see a video about fall shoes & boots with a variety of heel heights as these are an area of my closet I need to update and must shop for new. I like to incorporate subtle western touches like the belts and silver/turquoise jewelry. have been on the lookout for a great pair of boots for some time.
Thanks, Ziba 😊 Thanks to one of your videos I now have a brown belt 😀 If I fo get something new this season it's probably a hat . I still have leopard leg warmers from way back when, I think I can wear them with my brown low boots, they look like high boots then 🥰
Great video!! I guess the good thing about having a classic yet at times eclectic personal style is that I already have a lot of good pieces already in my wardrobe lol.. I will probably update my cardigans and see if I can find a good western style boot and just enjoy bringing some of the classic pieces back out to wear... Thank you so much for sharing your content!
Grandmas, royal or not, can become unexpected style icons, especially when you find yourself approaching the age they were when you were a child (50 to 70 years old). I now see my lovely Italian grandmas, who I grew up with in the 1970s, as my quietly elegant fashion icons.
I'm from Australia. I just got silver & a pair gold pair of western boots. I wanna get into more fringe .❤ I do have leopard coat. Need more leopard and ideas.
Great video! I have some beautiful turquoise jewelry from when I was visiting hubby’s family in New Mexico, wow perfect time to roll it out!! Edited to add: I’m from WNY! But even here we have rodeos and western/country lifestyle as I’m sure you know… grew up barrel racing and team penning and working cattle, which is why I only see chaps and bow legs when I look at those goofy barrel leg jeans 😅😅
I think leopard prints in neutral, natural, animal colors and scales have become classic prints now. I don’t like those oversized, exploded animal prints, or the ones in bright, non-natural colors like lime green, bright red or turquoise, though. I already have two leopard print silk shirts, one leopard-print silk skirt and one rayon leopard-print dress in my wardrobe, that’s plenty for me. I sold my leopard print leather belt and ballet flats last season because I never wore them. I thought I would, but I just didn’t, perhaps because they really only looked good with black outfits, which I don’t wear very often. I kept my one pair of comfy leopard leather clogs because I had worn them a few times. I probably won’t add any new leopard-print items this time around. I did recently but a pair of snake-print, neutral-color sandals, that’s another trending animal print, and also a classic. Thanks, Ziba for emphasizing shopping from our extant wardrobes rather than buying all-new.🙂
I définition like léopard since I was 16 ( a long time ago), my mother also so you can imagine our wardrobe! Never too much but by little touch! Kisses from Brussels 💋
Hi Ziba! Love your videos! Have an unrelated question which I hope you’ll help with! I see you’ve reviewed both the skins lounge dress (favourably) and the Sezane bodycon dress less favourable (as no lining) just curious as to which you prefer as skins dress is also not lined? Is it more supportive or would you recommend shape wear under it?! Thanks
Hi! So the skims dress for some reason is more smoothing and I have it in black, which is another factor. The sezane dresses are these beautiful colors that show more and the material is different, maybe skims has a proprietary material? Because the imitations like pumiey are close but aren’t the same (I like their t shirts!) . I don’t know why but I simply don’t look as lumpy in skims😅 I haven’t found shapewear i like to be honest and usually just wear cut off tights or footless tights. I wonder if the skims shapewear is good, I bet it is! Like this rstyle.me/+a4IcstDDWZgHtNVC8kmwMg. Have you tried either?
Leopardprint is hard, as a millenilal it was so popular in my tweens, and I just can't stop having a bad feeling abt it (tacky) I just can't wear it seriously, though it suits me very well. I associate itt with "Cougar" women
I think that many feel that way! I associate it with more of the 90’s girls, Kate moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Karen Mulder, Carolyn Bissette, etc. 😊 I think the actual print is pretty key!
I feel the same about denim skirts-it’s just a vibe I remember from the 90s that I can’t shake that certain time period and make it feel modern/ok for me.

Great ideas ,but everyone needs to thrift.
Thanks! Where do you recommend? :)
She does emphasize “shopping” from one’s extant wardrobe, that’s better than thrifting. Thrifting isn’t for everyone, speak for yourself only.

Thank you for pointing out this brand!!! I’ve found a lot of the items to be things on my wishlist and definitely mid range affordable pricing!

Thank you so much for your feedback! Hauls are exciting for us shoppers but we can hopefully make wiser decisions after shopping our closet first!❤️🙏
Yes!! I’ve always loved the natural style of leopard print and excited that it’s a strong trend this season. I prefer it over any other animal print.
Me too! I used to have a tiger runner down my stairs in a very dark brown and black that I loved too.
Thank you for sharing these aesthetics for fall fashion! 💕 from California

Thanks so much! Really helpful reply!! I don’t know why I’ve never thought to use cut off tight as shapewear!! Excellent idea and cheaper ☺️
