      Theirs nothing professional about the Roman army a bunch of murdering thugs who killed thousands of gods chosen elect. It's far better the lid stay down on this remember brutal army of murderous thugs .however it is very possible the same rebirthed thugs could be charged in looking after the biblical falst prophet who will herald from Rome in the coming months ahead the allowed resurgence has biblical implications.

      @@David-lu4gq the legions of Rome would make mongols look like chubby children shooting toy bows.
      Give it a single attempt and it would be like their defeat against the Mamluks. Sad and huge.

      @David-lu4gq Před 3 lety +2

      @@shadowdeslaar Your welcome to that view, but I don't think that the Legions would steamroll the Mongols as easily as you think. But we are talking about two groups a good thousand years apart. Would certainly be an interesting fight.

    • @shadowdeslaar
      @shadowdeslaar Před 3 lety +2

      @@David-lu4gq it would. If I were to make up a battle field.
      I would set it as Romans defending not attacking. For various reasons.
      The mongols in this battle would field mainly ranges units.
      The Romans
      Fielded mainly infantry, but had some slingers and artillery at hand.
      (Mainly ballista).
      The Mongolians are fighting in the Balkans near Macedonia. With some 350,000 men. Hoplites from Macedonia have the roads and flat terrain covered, alongside some Spartans.
      Ranging let’s say 45,000 men.
      The Romans fielding mainly heavy infantry with Segmentata.
      And Manica and their famed pila too. Some 50,000 Roman heavy infantry fair?
      And around 30,000 slingers from the Balearic islanders, Rhodians. Alongside that is another 30,000 core of Archers, from Briton to Crete.
      Slingers protected the Hoplites. The archers protected the Romans hiding in the mountains and trees. Of the Balkan’s.
      Waiting for a massive force.
      And
      When it came. The Hoplites endured archers. But the archers had no clue what was behind.
      Massive volleys of Whistling stones and hardened clay shot came over the Spears. Causing. Mass chaos to the archers.
      Bouncing and exploding off armour.
      Destroying bow strings and Denting helmets.
      Busting fingers and even routing them.
      This hail of bullets came until they had retreated falsely into the woods on foot and the horses into the plains area.
      It’ll take too long to type. But cheers. RTW!

      @@shadowdeslaar Apart from the largest force (I think) that Rome fielded was 80,000 men, that seems pretty cool. Like a historical Mish mash novel. I'd probably buy it, ngl lol.

    • @unoqualunque993
      @unoqualunque993 Před 2 lety +1

      @@enricomariasaccardo6815 Ovviamente non sai fare una critica costruttiva, solo insultare e in modo incorente, dato che dubito che tu sappia usare un gladio. È innegabile che le legioni marciassero per decine di chilometri ogni giorno, è fattuale, e con loro a capo i centurioni, ergo: tutti quanti marciavano. È altamente improbabile che un centurione fosse sovrappeso, a meno che non si facesse portare a cavaluccio dalle truppe. Caro mio, la mia la vedi come una critica a Roma? Allora hai la capacità letteraria di una pietra.
      Non c'è nessuno che più di me vorrebbe vedere un'Impero Romano risorto che schiaccia tutte le potenze mondiali.
      Ps: So come si usa un gladio ;).
      Ne ho uno con lama smussata per ovvie ragioni, e anche una serie di armature. Il gladio va usato per infilzare e non per tagliare, dato che viene in genere usato con uno scutum. E anche se non avessi saputo come usarlo, che differenza avrebbe fatto? Quello che ho detto sarebbe stato invalidato?

      @enricomariasaccardo6815 Před 2 lety

      @@unoqualunque993 se ti prendi il tempo per scrivere papiri di questo genere sei proprio messo male mi spiace. Comunque io so usare gladio, scutum, mani nude in pugilato, spada a due mani, arco da guerra inglese da 140lbs, lotta greco-romana, lancia e tanto altro. Hai dubitato male, (sono rievocatore e appassionato di storia) :). Non trovo giusto che persone dal nulla debbano criticare negativamente un rievocatore per la sua stazza, perciò il mio commento rientra nei limiti dell'educazione circa il modo con cui ti sei rivolto a quel centurio.
