    I know its late but the purple clip inside the harness needs to be removed with a pick
    and the wires will release with the removal tool.

    Just pull the pink/purple plastic on a side and the pins come out 😐 you can solder the wires directly to them connect them back and basically you wouldn’t even know that someone work there

    ......did it work..?? ABS warning light cleared?? I actually have the same problem. But just 1 of the wires broke near the connector.

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  Před 3 lety +2

      Hey brother, thanks for the comment. You know it really did work, and way better than buying a new harness. I posted this video about 10months ago, and actually did the repair about a year ago and its still good!!! So yes and I didn't even need the scanner to clear the code. Once I started the vehicle the light was still on but then about 1/2 way down the block the light shut off. If only one of your wires broke I would check the condition of the other one, the insulation may be cracking and if there are any cracks then water can get in and trigger the light.

    • @schmo9425
      @schmo9425 Před 3 lety +1

      @@GarageKing thanks man I decided to just buy a new connector for £4 as I don't have any tools to cut the connector or remove the terminal. Your video was very helpful thanks again.

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  Před 3 lety +1

      @@schmo9425 Anytime, 4 bucks for a new connector is pretty good. Here in Canada its quite a bit more than that, and they want you to buy the whole thing with the wire and everything. Thanks for the comment, and happy holidays :)

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  Před 2 lety +1

      It actually did and I’m a bit surprised it lasted this long. Once it fails I’ll get a new loom, as I won’t be repairing it for a second time. Thanks for the comment :)

    • @GarageKing

      Hey there, they all seem to break there. The GM ones are really bad at that joint as well.

  • @jerrymauleon

    The harness has two holes, one for each color of cable and also numbers, what color cable goes into number one and what color goes into the other? thank you.

    • @GarageKing
      @GarageKing  Před rokem +1

      Hey There, I did this job a number of years ago so I can't remember, I just made sure to match the wire color. You should be able to see what color wire is going into the the harness. If you have a tool (which I didn't at the time) you should be able to pop out on of the wires and look at the color.

    • @GarageKing

      Hey buddy thanks for commenting!!! I didn’t clear the code. After the repair I drove the vehicle and the light turned off about 1/2 way down the block and has since stayed off. Everything works fine. Hopefully I helped you out !!!!

    • @carlhutchison4118
      @carlhutchison4118 Před rokem

      The other thing is you can pull the pins as I normally do as any corrosion can pull up codes .after fix I put on scan tool snap on or any good tool and drive the car very slowly in a clear safe road and look at data for all abs wheel's then if ok take car for drive observing the abs codes are all equilibrium to the same reading in Scotland UK borders.thank you for your input.
