    How do you ensure you get the pipe securely tight in the upright position. When I tried it, i wasn't able to get it tight in the right position

    Do you need to change the whole tap when it leaks?

    Can you tell me how to loosen the bolts under the handles? I need to fix my drippy faucet. I cantcafford a plumber so it's pretty easy except when I attempted it, the bolts are solidly stuck.

      Hi. The bolt can't be adjusted once you solidly lock the grip. You need to release the locking grip then adjust the bolt. Try to play around with it 1st before apply it to bolt or nut or pipe. The best way for me to use this is by putting it in release mode and adjust the bolt to almost fit whatever you want to grip. Then you lock it. if you find the grip is not strong enough and slip can occurs, release the lock and adjust the bolt little by little then lock again.

      To tighten the connection between the two pipes.
      Edit: and also to prevent water leaking out from the connection

      Seals the mating surfaces between the pitch of the thread reducing the chance of possible discharge from the connection, because when it gets fluid, it is supposed to swell and harden a bit making a perfect seal.

      Faucet inlet is 1" and the pipe in the wall is 1/2" ... that's why he used the adapter

      Just make sure it's the same size. Mine was 1/2". You need to check yours. If you live in Malaysia standard size is 1/2".

    Painful to watch. Vice grips? Wrap the Teflon tape around 20 times? Seriously, don't give out advice until you know what you're doing!

      It would be a lot more helpful if you explain what's the proper way and why, instead of just saying that's the wrong one.

    • @homefixx1532
      @homefixx1532  Před rokem

      Hi. Thanks for the critique. The main purpose of Teflon is to seal the gap and remove leakage. You can use the whole Teflon just to seal 1 gap. Teflon is cheap after all. I just did that to save mine from overusing it because it's troublesome to go out and buy more Teflon since there is more gap to cover and my Teflon is limited. What you said makes sense so I'll remember it to give a general idea instead of the exact amount. Not sure about the vice grip though.
