What an amazing Story, I heard it for the first time. Look my friends. Look how merciful Allah(swt) is. Is there something as merciful as He is? He changed even the world for someone who was going to repent. He didn´t even repent. He was just on the way to and died, but nevertheless he was forgiven. SubhanAllah, what a great God Allah(swt) is.

1. Perform Ablution properly and go for each obligatory salat in Masjid
2. After praying salat Fajr in congregation, then wait (15-20 minutes) till after sunrise to perform two superogratory rakat
3. Perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan is equal to Hajj
4. Going to Masjid to learn/teach beneficial knowledge
5. Saying SubhanaLlah 33, AlhamduliLlah 33, Allahu Akbar 33, and then say La ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadir
Amazing emotional story
One of Allah's favorite acts is to forgive sinners.
SubhanAllah may Allah forgive us all Ameen yaa rab al a’alameen
Anyone who looses their life for Allah SWT will win Jannah May Allah Protect us Inshallah
May Allah protect us from ever harming or murdering others, even by accident. Ameen.
I have heard Allah will not forgive you until the people who you have wronged forgive you, and it is their right to do so or not.
But each prophet brought a deen that related to his specific period for his specific people.
It is our prophet being the final messenger who brought a deen that related to all mankind till the end of times.
So this person who was in pre our prophets times when different rules applied was able to be forgiven.
But the moral is the same and applies today and forever. Which is if you truly repent your sins and never repeat them (as long as they are not against Allahs people) you will be forgiven InshaAllah.
But this is just my understanding. If the uploader of the video or someone qualified could clear this issue about forgiveness v the right of the murdered.

On the authority of Umm Haani’ bint Abi Taalib (رضي الله عنها). She said: “The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ , walked past me one day so I said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, I have become old and weak - or something similar to this - so tell me of a good deed that I can do while I am sitting.’
*He ﷺ said: “Say ‘Subhaan Allaah’ 100 times for it is equivalent to freeing 100 slaves from the offspring of Ismaa‘eel; and say ‘Al-Hamdu li-llaah’ 100 times for it is equivalent to 100 horses saddled with reins ready to carry fighters in the cause of Allaah; and say ‘Allaahu Akbar’ 100 times for it is equivalent to 100 camels slaughtered for the sake of Allaah; and say ‘La Ilaah Illa Allaah’ 100 times.” Ibn Khalaf (the narrator from ‘Aasim) said, “I think he said: ‘…it fills what is between the heavens and the earth,
and on that day out of all the deeds that are risen to Allaah, none will be better than yours except for a person who said what you said.’*
[(Musnad Ahmad) Al-Munthiri, Al-Haythami, and Al-Albaani classified it as

said whoever says this Dua a once in the morning and die before evening S/he is GUARANTEED JANNAH and whoever says this Dua a once in the evening sincerely and dies before Morning S/he is GUARANTEED JANNAH

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي, لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ, خَلَقْتَنِي, وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ, وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ،, أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ, أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ, وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي, فَاغْفِرْ لِي; فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ اَلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allahumma, Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ala ahdika wa wa dika mastata tu, a udhu bika min sharri ma sana tu, abuw u laka bidhanbi, wa abuw u laka bini matika alayya faghfirli, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa anta
Meaning
“O Allah! You are my Lord. None has the right to be worshipped except You. You created me and I am your servant and I abide by your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in you from the evil, which I have committed. I acknowledge your favor upon me and I knowledge my sins, so forgive me,indeed nobody forgives sins but you

You need to make a tawbah to Allah and ask for forgiveness and forget the evils/wrong of habitual before you die. Read the Surah Al-Tawbah there is an English explanation and translation

I don’t know if you fully understood the story, but the two angles were disputing on whether he was close to his sins or the place of redemption. In order to mediate between the two angles, Allah sent a third angle to measure the distance.

Allah is the All knowing and All seeing and All hearing.
Creator Allah Almighty does not need anything or anyone.
As a matter of fact, among His Names is Al-Ghany: The One who is Self-sufficient, and As-Samad: the One who is free of all needs, who is needed by all His creations.
He is sought by all, while He is above all.
So, why are there angels?
If we are going to follow the rationale in your question, we might also ask: Why did Allah create the sun, isn’t He the Source of Light and He can directly give us light?
Can’t He do it by Himself?
Or why did Allah create mothers, can’t He directly bring us to life, nurture us and show us love without the presence of mothers?
In reality, Allah doesn’t need any of His creations; they are only a manifestation of His Brilliant, Awe-Inspiring ability to plan and create.
If you consider a famous artist and ask why is this artist producing these outstanding paintings, can’t he express himself or explain what he wants without creating these amazing paintings?
The answer is, he can, but his creations reflect his great and unique abilities.
To Allah belongs the Highest Most Supreme Example, He doesn’t need the angels, but He has the Power to create incredibly mighty creations; His creations are a manifestation and reflection of His Power, Brilliance, and incomparable Greatness.

It's probably done as such so Allah could demonstrate his mercy. Of course, Allah knew he would die closer to the former land, he planned for that. But (in my estimation) he did the whole changing the dimensions of the Earth to demonstrate mercy.

You don’t understand the point of this story.
The point is that as long as a person is willing to seek forgiveness, Allah will forgive because Allah’s mercy is vast. Now this is his record with Allah, Allah forgives and punishes as he wills.
