      hyena131--WOW! You're so right? Even though David Bowie did it so well. A 3 time Academy Award Winner thought it was funny. "hyena131" thought it rather "a bit of a daft schoolboy" comeback!! What would have made YOUR Cut sweetheart? PLEASE, don't answer me. It was GREAT all around. Next time don't type, SLEEP!

      Bowie interviews were ALWAYS funny, he was super quick-witted... my fave interview moment:
      Interviewer: If I had brought you this new album (Young Americans) last year, and told you that *this* would be your next album, what would you have said?
      Bowie: I would've thrown both you and the album out of my house.

    It was Bowie who became the future of music. I have seen the Stones a number of times & they generally perform the old standards penned in the 60's & 70's. Bowie's output from 1967 until his death in 2016 was continually breaking new ground.

    • @mundicox8951
      @mundicox8951 Před 7 lety +34

      Hate to admit it but it's true, the Stones' creativity died out in the 70s. Some of their new stuff is good enough but nowhere near as good as what they put out in their peak.

      It's the generation of immediate dopamine hits from facebook/youtube likes/comments. People think they're important and have to 'say the right thing' to get likes so they feel validated. Virtue signalling is the norm with these people. The fact is David Bowie is great. We know this. I, like most of his true fans, couldn't care less about likes on comments nor am I stupid enough to think that anyone else cares about my feelings about his death.

    The way I remember it, the Stones weren't massive in 1963, but they were on their way .. "Come on" was released in June '63 in the UK and went to number 21... "I Wanna Be Your Man" went to number 12 in November '63 ... their 1st album wasn't released until mid April '64, it was after that they really took off... I saw them for the first time at the NME Awards show in 1964, and saw them on many more occasions in the 60's and early 70's

      Brixton Odeon.Since I Wanna Be Your Man wasn't released til November as
      you pointed out,I guess it's possible his memory is correct that they

    What a lovely man he seems to be. I remember seeing this show and thinking and NORMAL Bowie was. You could almost imagine bumping into him in a pub and having a pint with him.

    Bowie always had such great hair. And that jumper (sweater) he's wearing is mint.

    My God... Little Richard has inspired soooooo sooooo sooooooo many artists in the past century, he already was a legend and after that legends have come and gone like Freddie Mercury and David Bowie, many have passed away young like Brian Johnson, Jimmi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, and this man is still around... Unbelievable... Long live the king, the vamping diva and the architect of Rock'n'Roll!!!!!
