The Celibate Rifles were the greatest post-punk Australian band, hands down.

RIP Damo! Fond memories of Melb gigs back in the late 80's and early 90's. The Riffles still on high rotation in late 2022.

I cannot believe that Australia's most well known post punk band sound as good today as they did all those years ago as I'll be 71years old in April this year, they are like the Cure, and just get better with age.

There, at 14.00, that’s the essence of the Rifles right there. Dave Morris with driving rhythms and Kel’s solo’s....can’t be beaten.

Legendary. Damo happened to walk into my workplace one day years ago and I was gobsmacked. Drove home grabbed my Cellies CDs returned to work and he graciously signed them for me. Never forget it. ❤️

Missing them on the oz landscape. The greatest- a band you never tired of. Known as a Sydney band they were treasured elsewhere too. So many great memories of Brissie 90s gigs- Waterloo, the Roxy, the playroom, Gabba and memorable night with hard ons and a very young screamfeeder at metropolis tavern.
