- The GR131 is the most western part of the European long-distance hiking trail E7. I decided to hike the trail from south to north, from Punta Jandia to Corralejo. I had never expected such an impressive landscape and such friendly, helpful people.
In my video I have shown the rest options in particular for such guys who want also make this hike. Enjoy it!

I done the trek North to South .. Interesting to see it in reverse ( Great Vid )
Thanks a lot. Hope you also enjoyed the trek 🥰
Yeah, I also did the north to South gr 131 as part of a lanzarote, Fuerte, Gran Canaria trek. Loved them all, but I like the idea of reversing and doing your route on Fuerteventura. Thanks for the video and the website. Excellent work.
@@stevenpink641 I am in Madeira next month for 7 days trekking , and looking at doing the Dartmoor Way in July 👍
I enjoyed your video very much and I visited your channel and became a member, impressive library. I have a question, did you happen to place a waymark in your Fuerteventura gpx trace file for the spots where you camped the night? also I would love you to describe how the soil was regarding the placement of your tent stakes, looks like hard soil but - can it be penetrated by the stakes or not?
Hi Pete, I'm very happy that you liked the video. Thank you for subscribing. I am currently on the Gr130 on La Palma. I do not have the gpx points of the shelter available. Maybe explain the description in the video. The ground was hard, so better use a freestanding tent. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful island
Nice camera work thanks for taking the time to make this . Most people think Fuerteventura is bare with nothing to see 😀
@@perrerapuertorosario5550 It's just a wonderful island with nice people and a beautiful landscape. thanks for watching
Thanks so much for making this video of your trek across the island. How did you manage with water?
It looks a very dry island.
Were there taps along the way or did you have to carry a lot?
Well done for making a great video.
Hi, thanks for your nice comment. I'm happy you enjoyed the vid. I had only carried water for one day. The are little shops, bars and taps along the way. For the taps you better use a water filter because there are no fountain on this amazing island. Have a peaceful time 💚
Wonderful 😍😍😍 may I ask which camera was used for filming?
Thanks 😊
I used a Fimi Palm Gimpel.
Hi, great videos :) In which month you have hiked this section of the gr131?
Thanks a lot Peter. I hiked on Fuerteventura in December. Now I 'm on Lanzarote and the weather is very nice. There are 22 decrease day time, but the nights are wet because of the difference in temperature. ✌️
Hello! Thanks for posting this really nice video. I have 1 question: Do you think the GR131 on Fuerteventura is possible on a mountainbike? Thanks in advance!
Hi biker, of course this is possible on Fuerteventura for MTB. Do it and have fun 🚴♂
@@slowtrekking_work Thanks! I will do at least parts of it coming March by MTB!🚴
Very nice trekking mate! On the other hand did you see any dog along the island? A woman was bitten yesterday by two dogs and is scary walk in the middle of nowhere...
Thanks a lot Aitor. I'm sorry about the woman. I haven't seen any wild dogs running free on Fuerteventura. Usually, wild dogs are not in the middle of nowhere, but in the vicinity of villages, garbage facilities or parking lots of campers who dispose of their waste there. My tactics when encountering wild dogs have always been successful: - do not run away - pick up a stone or something similar - usually they know exactly what that means, pull in their tail and run away. Best regards
@@slowtrekking_work Ok thank you. It makes sense what you said because she was attacked around Puerto del Rosario by a Pitbull. She´s been taken to hospital in intensive care unit, those dogs should be forbidden for regular people. All the best
