    I see some people here in the comments mentioning playing Future Connected before playing the base game for the first time, and for the sake of the story, I think it would be much better to play the base game first, even if it means the level 12 art books aren't immediately unlocked.
    Edit: I'm solely saying this for new players. There's already a good amount of art books in the base game, so it shouldn't be a big issue in the first place for newcomers imo.

      That and literally the first cutscene of FC is the party killing the final boss so yeah, maybe they shouldn’t play the epilogue before playing the main game
      Seriously though, who is saying to play future connected before the base game???

    An easy way to get Noponstones earlier than grinding the level 80 challenge is fighting the lv 45 Oh Brother challenge over and over again using Dunban and Reyn. Save Heat Haze and Soaring Tempest on wave 2 and use chain attacks on stragglers and wave 3, you will clear in about a minute and get 4000 noponstones every time. Around 8 minutes per level 12 art book, very handy for maxing out something like Back Slash early to steamroll the game

    Nice looking video. Master books are clearly a game changer, and it would possibly make some sense to beat Future Connected before doing the endgame for the main game, I would have guessed, because arts at level 12 are clearly a lot more bang for the buck than arts at level 10.

    Also lets calculate for a moment...each character has 16 arts except shulk who has 8, thats 16x6+8 times 20.000 for each art book... thats 2.8 million noponstones you need in total to level each art to lvl 12.
    Now divide this by the number of stones you get from the mission...lets say average of 11k for sake of simplicity and we have about 190 times you need to run that mission.
    Which, lets say you manage to do it in 20 seconds following your setup, + load times, which ill just assume to be 5-10 seconds plus 5-10 extra seconds for everything else thats happening...
    Then we are at 40 seconds, lets highball this to 45 seconds to controll for any other factors...thats 8550 seconds, or just about 2,3 hours of grinding, more or less depending on if you manage to pull the strat off every time, until you have every art book.

  • @Nomnomlick
    @Nomnomlick Před 4 lety

    I found a slightly different way to do it. It makes it impossible to finish it in 1 sword drive but you always finish in roughly 15 seconds(rarely over 16, often under 15, never below 13.5). The idea is to use Talent Boost instead of Attack Plus on Reyn's weapon. It makes it so that Dunban always has the aggro, so the back is always facing you when the ennemy is toppled. I also linked Aggro down with aura from Melia to Reyn. I used a break crystal on both Dunban and Shulk's weapon to make the topple pretty much guaranteed by the time magnum is up.
    When you hear Dunban say "Electric Gusbuster!" Magnum->Sword Drive->Wild Down->Bone Upper->Dive Sobat(should be dead if not, then War Swing).

    @RellekEarth Před 4 lety +2

    Woooah I just found out you can get 9600 (typically 6400) noponstone mostly consistently on "Lost in a Dark Dream". I found out that healing has a large factor in the calculation. If you have 0 health recovered during the fight, the chance of you getting 9600 is much greater.
    Follow the setup in the video except replace dunban with seven. Next, you want to remove all the crit heal skill links you have and remove healing energy (if you even have it on her at all) from seven. This makes it so that you can't heal (except shulk's light heal, but the battle last 15 seconds so you'll be fine).
    Enter the challenge, and do exactly what is in the video and you should have a time somewhere between 10 and 20 seconds and 50% more noponstones for your effort! Lemme know if this works for you

  • @Marcus-on6dh
    @Marcus-on6dh Před 4 lety

    From what I’ve seen so far on my playthrough, I’m around the 80-85 level range as I’m typing this, and for Noponstone at that point with I’ve done shulk, fiora, and Dunban/reyn on “sparks fly, you die” and for a not really focused build for equip/gem, (like playing the game casually) if it’s completed at around a minute and 20 seconds, it’s typically gives either 5600 or 8400 noponstone. For the early late game that’s not bad imo.

    Also, if you really wanted to, you can turn on casual mode to grind enemies above your level, I dont know if you want to make a video about that, but I found the fastest way for raw EXP is chain attack level 95-99 enemies in casual mode

    Are you able to carry over collected noponstones in ng+? I'm only interested in getting the level 12 arts but I'm only on playthrough 1 rn and just got to fallen arm (so about halfway through).

  • @AussieBeef54099
    @AussieBeef54099 Před 4 lety

    There is no rush to grind that much AP for the lvl 12 arts, even for the super bosses. It's perfectly doable. Plus my experience has shown that investing in arts you tend to find the most use in and being diligent about questing and exploring will yield you more than enough AP.

      This is more for completion’s sake than practicality. Which is great since it gives an excuse to play the game more.

    So before I go to the Mechonis Core, I want to farm a few more levels and I read that a good place to do that (i'm lvl 67 atm) is by going back into Bionis interior. The only problem is, that I can't find out how to get back into the 2nd lung. Right now I can only get back into the terminal trachea that leads into 3rd lung and then the upper level to exit the interior. How do I get back into the 2nd lung so that I can farm?

    1. After you beat Main Boss go to the land of challenge and select “sparks fly you die” beat the two waves and you will get 5600 Noponstones Per Battle

    I don't think Back Attack gems work on reyn, it's a bit hard to test considering he is meant to gather aggro, but since he doesn't have moves that deal extra damage from behind I don't think it works. I'm going to try testing with a gem and some aggro down stuff and see if I can have a controlled experiment with some attack stability as well, I'll edit this comment if it works or not.
    Edit: From my testing on Ghostly Mahatos, a level 97 Reyn with 945 strength and 1847 auto attack, stabilized with attack stability V and back attack up V can do 13k damage with an Atomic Driver as his weapon and around 9200 on the other sides, admitidly I used casual mode so that way I would be able to easily see the damage difference and less risk of death or annoyance. The damage was hard to see if it was Reyn because I had Dunban and Seven in to draw most of the aggro so it's entirely possible it doesn't work, but from my small time testing I saw a good difference. This gem needs that information in the description or documented somewhere because it's not entirely obvious that it can work that way.

    The time attack challenge nopon rewards could be glitch & not working good. The Lv80 lost in dark dream highest stones I got is 12800 so definitely it could be a glitch of codes that didn't get coded in correctly when they made the game?
