Yeah well it's kind of a double-edged sword. The Transit fight scene would've been a plot point for later in the film which would've been good. But yet again, they have a pretty good reason why they removed it. It happened in Michael Bay's Transformers Revenge of the Fallen once, they didn't wanna make it happen again in the new Transformers reboot universe. People would've found it too dark because eventually in the Transit fight scene, Optimus Prime would kill Transit in the end just because he said something that Optimus didn't like. So yeah, it's necessary why they deleted the Transit fight scene. Unfortunately.

But that was 7years before the rotb movie because in the synopsis of the bumblebee movie its says it was 1987 and in rotb says it was 1994 so there is seven years apart from those two movies (chronologically)
I think the reason they got beat hella easy is because they were all low on energon in the beginning of the movie. Think about 7 years stuck without energon. And then once that energy pulse happens in the final fight they start moppin the floor with the terrocons

So Optimus prime Will fight Scourge after He got Tired And Fight Transit and his Chest gets damaged in the Cut Scenes and He still not recover and Optimus prime holding the damage from the pole
