- This is the 3rd song I've released from my new sacred songs album HIGHER. I've always loved listening to Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli, in particular their albums of sacred songs...and I just had the opportunity to release one of my own...inspired by them and by other great singers. And this is one of my absolute favorite songs. This melody moves me to the core! I hope you enjoy.

In less than two months two great "Maestri" have passed away, Ezio and Ennio. What a big void they have left, but their music and humanity will remain forever.
This made me cry because it brought home just how shallow a species we are, we don't go deep into ourselves, we miss out on so much, we live and die in ignorance. God bless

This clip is one of the best on CZcams. Nathan's voice is superb, the piano & cello are just perfect. The end result causes me to feel of the Holy Ghost each time I listen to it.
It's not the Holy Ghost ... It's called emotion. I listened to this 2 dozen times I love it but please don't confuse The Spirit God with emotion, or you will be terribly destroyed come judgement day. Jesus Christ said in Jhn 14:17

You see it's so much more than an emotion, or dopamine rush.

There is no question that the music is heavenly. The intent of Gabriel's Oboe, part of the score of the movie The Mission, was to
touch the soul of the Indigenous People near Iguasu Falls. The music was written specifically for the oboe. Many years after the film, Sarah Brightman wrote non-religious lyrics in Italian to the music of Gabriel's Oboe. Ennio Morricone never liked them.
Due to Sarah's constant requests, he gave in just to make her stop bothering him.
Outside Pavarotti, only Nathan Pacheco can sing this!! Absolutely mesmerising.

Ennio Morricone never liked the lyrics that Sarah Brightman wrote to his segment of the score for The Mission. He only begrudgingly granted permission after her constant requests. He did however collaborate with Hayley Westenra on her lyrics Whispers in a Dream. The original segment Gabriel's Oboe had no lyrics, was never intended for lyrics and was specifically written for the oboe. The song was never part of the film. Nella Fantasia has no religious lyrics which really do not fit the intent of the music.
Only just found this version ....bloody brilliant and what passion put into the song.

The absolute best version of Gabriel's Oboe....and it's performed on cello. Being that I am a cellist and a vocalist, I have a great amount of appreciation for the skill required to perform at this level, and this is perfection! I have listened to this song played by many world class cellist.YoYo Ma version was my favorite for many years.....until I heard This. Nicole Pinnell bravo! Your phrasing and vibrato stands alone above all version I have ever heard. I only wish I could hear this as a cello solo

Nathan's singing is wonderful. The music was composed by Ennio Morricone. Sarah Brightman badgered the maestro to give her permission to use his music for her lyrics Nella Fantasia. He never like her lyrics.
Simply spectacular, every time I listen to it, brings tears to my eyes.
It makes us wonder why world peace only exists in our dreams.

What a blessed piece of music! I've no doubt .. your singing blesses the Lord, as well as us down here below. Pavarotti (who is no longer with us) and Andrea Bocelli I've no doubt would be pleased, and blessed. Again, thanks for giving to the Lord Nathan. Your music ended a long funk. When cov. came out, it was right after my mothers funeral in February of 2020. I suppose I turned my back on praise and worship. I directed 2 choir's, and I've played and I've done vocals on 2 Praise and Worship teams .. I play piano as you might have guessed, and I have one in my apartment .. but I haven't touched it much. The piano music as well as your voice has inspired me again. Again, thank you so much Nathan. I'll see you in glory when we get there! God bless you my brother!!

Simply wonderfully beautiful! This was one of my beloved grandmother's favorite musics. It really touched her to tears as it does to me everytime I listen to it. She really helped raise me and was very much important to me.

The true story of the mission is more tragic for those Catholic prelates and political leaders of supposedly Catholic nations, who sentenced those devout Catholic Christian Jesuit missionaries and devout Catholic Christian natives to death. These prelates and political leaders were not alive to the living Christ and His message of redemption and sacrificial love for all humanity.

This guy has one SICK voice! Remember when I first heard him singing with Yanni several years back. I was hooked and had to hear more of him. Each and everything he sings is totally, totally awesome.
