You certainly have to be lyrical, but it takes more to be successful in hip hop then being a great lyricist. You got to be able to make the people feel you and want to hear you. All the greats, male or female has or had that ability.

@@riotman3579 facts.💯 it’s the difference between Nicki Minaj and most of these female M.C’s( which some of them obviously are not) they come on the scene their a fresh face and ass, but they’re music can’t stand the test of time and you get bored with them too soon.Nicki has that it factor a lot of these women don’t have, I can say the same for a lot of men in hip hop, compared to like Snoop Dogg, or Drake. They got that it factor and their music has longevity to it.
