2009 was the last year of the golden era of TNA Impact Wrestling and months later Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff came along
It's interesting the consensus among many wrestling fans is that the TNA they knew and loved went downhill in 2010. I agree with that in 2010 I stopped watching. With all due respect to Hogan & Bischoff who I like, Nobody wanted them In TNA. I wouldn't say they were the sole reason TNA went downhill but they were a factor. Prime TNA for me was between 2005 & 2008. Very enjoyable product!
Don't forget Ric Flair ECW legends Jeff Hardy returned and RVD.
This was an explosive event at the time especially the main event featuring 5 legit legends in this business

I laugh now because criticism then was too many WWE castoffs. To any older guys. AEW has a lot of guys in their forties and fifties most are ex WWE . TNA maintained a solid million plus viewership every week for years . More years than AEW has been in existence. I would love nothing than to see them rise to this level again.

I will never ever forget when I first saw tna slammiversary 2009 ppv on TV when I was young and that was the first time I watched and saw tna slammiversary 2009 ppv and I will never ever forget seeing the king of the mountain match in tna slammiversary 2009 ppv and my 1st favorite tna slammiversary 2009 match and only favorite King of the mountain match between my boy kurt angle, my boy aj styles,mock Foley, my boy somoa joe, Jeff Jarrett and I will never ever forget seeing kurt angle winning the match becuase of joe handing him the belt and joining main event mafia to I was shocked and surprised and happy when that happen and won't forget my other favorite tna match and that is the king of the mountain x division match that match was great to and that was the first time I saw consequences creed until we know him now and still currently as Xavier woods and the first time seeing a king of the mountain x division match when I was young and dope classic entrance by suicide classic tna matches that I will never ever forget and my favorite.
