    thanks for showing such videos could you make a video how to use Helix Native Line 6 through Ableton using chocolate?

      @guitarschoollive  Před rokem +1

      Hello Wet Straw, thank you for your suggestion. I haven’t researched it yet but if my memory serves me correctly Helix Native can’t receive PC messages in Ableton which means you can’t change presets. However I think snapshots can be changed. I’ll take a look later in the week. If you’re not subscribed already be sure to do so to ensure you’re updated when the video is released.

    hi, i can only map the midi to standalone app. I've followed your steps but it doesnt work in my Live 11 Lite daw. Im using live 11 lite and plini X.

    Two questions:
    1. Is there a way to use this with the standalone plugin instead of in the DAW? I'm getting latency issues when using within Ableton
    2. Can you program the midi to be able to scroll through presets instead of having to map each button to 1 preset?
    Great tutorial!

      @@guitarschoollive Hey! I follow all steps but even so NDSP didn't learn when I press, I can't do it in ableton too. There's a midi signal but it doesn't work to map anything

    Thanks for the tutorial, you did not mention how the chocolate is connected to the Windows PC?? I assume it is via the usb cable?? I have tried to connect and set up Ableton using bluetooth but cannot get this to work, and cubesuite does not pick up the hardware unless the chocolate connected via the cable :( Have you tried using the chocolate for live looping in Ableton?? Any chance of doing a video on that?? It was the reason I bought the chocolate but have been struggling to set it up that way :( Cheers keep up the good work :)

      Hello Adam, thank you for reaching out to us.
      Unfortunatley at this time the Chocolate controller cannot connect to Windows via Bluetooth unless you use their Bluetooth dongle. I don’t know how reliable it is so I cannot vouch for it.
      I will look into using the Chocolate for looping in Ableton. I have 4 other videos on my list so this may be about2 weeks. If you haven’t figured out how to do it before the videos release then keep an eye out for your notifications.
      You can find the Bluetooth system here: www.walmart.com/ip/Walmeck-M-VAVE-MS1-Wireless-Transmission-System-MIDI-System-MIDI-Wireless-Adapter-Plug-and-Play-Support-for-Devices-with-MIDI-Interface/2553376772

      @@guitarschoollive I look forward to the video about how you would do looping in Live with Chocolate too. So far, my Live sees the device (with the dongle) but I'm having trouble making it recognize messages (I tried CC and note on)

    • @AllanFelipe

      Oh, never mind, it's working now. Just had to pay more attention to the midi input in Preferences, and let "USB-Midi" selected. Now, CC and Note-on work fine. Apparently there are some bugs with the big button in Ableton Live's looper device controlled by external devices, so it's necessary to map overdub/play/stop individually (but I don't have the latest version of Live).

    Hey, still struggling w my stock FCB1010 in Amplitube, did you ever figure out a way to work around the double tap syndrome, it's the only thing holding me back from using it :(
    Any help is appreciated!

    • @guitarschoollive
      @guitarschoollive  Před rokem +1

      Hello M I G U E L, nice to hear from you again.
      Unfortunately the answer is no. But the problem is with Amplitube, it doesn’t play nice with a few other controllers and most daws. Ik multimedia produces their own controller that apparently sends messages in a manner that most controllers don’t. If I remember correctly I installed the UNO in the FCB1010 a few months back and it eliminated the double tap, but with the cost of the chip and the editor to program it another $50 usd is added to the cost of the controller which would bring the total cost over $200.
      I’ve been testing the M-Vave chocolate and made a few videos. It’s a great little controller for $30 usd but I think 2 units would make it perfect. It allows the user to write sysex code to get around the limitations of Amplitube to eliminate the double tap (I include the sysex code in my videos). I am awaiting the arrival of a second unit to see if they will work together. If I can get it to work the way I envision you may want to take a look at it.
      In the meantime check this video out:

      @@guitarschoollive Thank you. I'll definitely look into that foot controller, is there any you recommended that are up to date and work seamlessly, Im not really afraid of the price tag, I'm trying to basically create a noise free jam setup for me and my roommates. Our neighbors said we were too loud so I bought a laptop, daw, interface and a nitro mesh drum kit. We really miss playing so I've been trying to setup a template in FL so we can just walk in and play, they're not too tech savvy w this stuff, but they're phenomenal players.
