Itâs just such a powerful song thatâs helped a lot of people and Iâm glad yâall were feelin it. If you liked this youâll probably like Free My Soul too (original version with the most views on CZcams, not the one on streaming with a different beat)
You pronounced his name right and itâs an acronym for King Remembered In Time. Heâs from Mississippi which I believe is part of the reason heâs not as popular as he deserves to be since talented southern rappers tend to get overlooked IMO. He may not be super famous but hes had a long and successful career now with a loyal fan base who supports his music. You get a little bit of everything in his music: soulful, lyrical and meaningful. Not to mention hes a top tier producer. Just an overall dope artist who deserves his flowers.
His catalog is incredible, Iâve yet to hear a bad album from him. 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time (released in 2017) is a masterpiece and could be a good starting point if you wanted to check him out some more. Particularly the 2nd half of the album where he gets personal and vulnerable with gems like Drinking Sessions, Price of Fame, Bury Me In Gold and Mixed Messages. Iâm guessing there might be a couple songs in the 1st half that may not be your taste but the intro and Get Away are must-listens as well.
Some of his earlier work is amazing too with his legendary mixtape run from 2010-2013 (Return of 4Eva, KRIT Wuz Here, 4Eva N A Day and King Remembered In Time are my faves in order). They're technically called mixtapes but essentially albums with the quality. If you ever listen just try to find the original versions since some production got changed on streaming platforms due to copyright issues with the label. My bad for the essay, Iâm just passionate about him đ
