It looks like Martin Zubimendi will be staying at Real Sociedad after this season which was confirmed by their head coach. This makes it seem extremely likely that Joshua Kimmich will be heading over to FC Barcelona. Xavi Simmons is also interested to come back to Barcelona. Barca will also try and prioritize the signings of Bernardo Silva and Nico Williams. However, even if Barcelona can sign these players, they will still struggle if they can't find a true manager and alter their play style.

As a Barca fan for over 30 years, I definitely see an issue with Barca not letting players go at the right time. That's the real problem. In recent years, Real Madrid has mastered the art of maximizing their players' potential and releasing them at precisely the right moment. Barca, on the other hand, has significantly struggled with this. Lewandowski, who is past his prime, can't produce results anymore. His best years were in the Bundesliga, which, although a decent league, doesn't compare to La Liga. There, he didn’t face the same challenges as Messi and Ronaldo. Lewandowski should be let go. Frenkie de Jong should be sold now while there is still potential to profit from him. Investments should be focused solely on defenders, as Barca’s defenders have been attempting to play like midfielders this season.
You are 1000% correct. We allow players to overstay their welcome, we go after players we should not, spend too much on players like Dembele, griezmann, and coutinho to name a few and then never sell players. Insane
@@grettfc I also don't understand why the defenders are pushing so far forward. Imagine next season with Mbappé and Vinícius countering, while Araujo and Koundé are up joining the attack. This season, Barcelona has been incredibly easy to counter. Xavi hasn’t adjusted Barca’s tactics to safeguard against quick breaks from top forwards. That's where most mistakes are made, like Dembélé countering and Araujo receiving a red card. The panic during counters is unbelievable. They're so deep in the opponent's half that they just can't get back without committing fouls.

Grett's biggest strengh is perhaps his ability to talk straight and true! There is no BS. He doesn't protect anyone, or practice favoratism. I can understand we need an elite manager to compete with the elite teams but in the circumstances we're in right now, I don't think any manager can come & win the CL with Barca.
Barca had so many injuries this season which affected them so much as they don't have quality depth in comparison to Madrid.
Even though all of this Barca could have been in CL final.
I know Xavi isn't what we need going forward but in the circumstances we're in he's perfect Manager for the time being.
Every manager needs time, money, good medical staff to show what he can do.

Two things make me worried about the Kimmich transfer.
The first one being that he is not really a single pivot CDM, which I think are Barca's plan with him.
Secondly, his transfer made a whole lot more sense when Hansi Flick was the top candidate to take over next season. He knows Kimmich inside and out, and they had a great relationship during one of Bayern's most succesful periods ever. I just don't know if Xavi can get the best out of him. Xavi still lacks a lot of experience on this level, and I see the team struggleling next year too. So, how would Kimmich perform in a Barca side struggling???
Kimmich is a world class player, no doubt. But Barca has a questionable reputation of not getting the best out of the players coming in. Players who were previously world class, only to be average when pulling on the Barca shirt.
In summary; the overall fear could be that Kimmich comes in, getting a coach who doesn't understand how to play him, playing in a role he's never had before, and finally, losing 10-15% of the abilities he had before coming here. All this for what is no doubt going to be a very expensive signing, both in transfer fee and wages, with no real option to make money on a future transfer, due to his age.

I agree 1000% with your thoughts. Enough is enough, we need proper change if we ever want to see success at the highest level again. Kimmich is not a DM(6) the only good thing about him is that he has the fucking mentality which is good for team, he is a versatile player he can play as a RB and all the midfield positions. So it means Barca will have to play Kimmich and Frenkie combined which is off cox they are all good on the ball but aren't good ball winners that's why Frenkie had a partner who could win the ball at Ajax and Goretzka who is a ball winner was always paired with Kimmich in the middle so I bet it will be a little difficult.
