I agree Qatar is an excellent tune up match, now keep in mind a good proportion of our Canadian players are European based at this time of year also. Now Uruguay is in my mind the 'hard team' of South America, that is a nice way of saying if you have extra thick shin guards ummm 'wear them!' lol. I truly look forward both these games.
Agreed on the Qatar angle and Uruguay will be a real testy affair with kicks on goal and on player too!!! I like the Uruguay game a lot :) I look forward to all the games we have before the Qatar world cup and November better be Scotland in Vancouver!!!!! :)
I think qatar is a good opposition to get our chemistry back after a couple of months and to prepare us for the uruguay match. I think a draw is a must and we should atleast score a goal. I also hope we play a top 15 nation in the November friendly as well.
Yes Qatar is a good game to start with and I would expect a win to line up a tough game v Uruguay ranked 13! As for November, give me France, Germany, England or even Italy(not going to Qatar). It's 130 days & counting to Qatar "OUR TEAM HAS COME SO FAR WE'RE GOIN TO QATAR" Cheers Sohi :)
@@ultimatesoccershow it'll be tough to play against those European nations because the uefa nations league so i am looking forward to play against Brazil or Argentina.
@@djknox2 Apologies Doug I don't know how I missed your comment???? I agree Doug, I did not think we would play Qatar, I mean I don't see that as big test! Uruguay is closer to the level we need to play but again we need to bring a bigger team in November!! 128 DAYS TO GO!!!!
@@djknox2 It shows how little power or reach Soccer Canada has on the world stage. While the women were on top Soccer Canada were spoiled & never had to worry about the ever under achieving mens program or big opposition. Well in short time the men are higher than in decades which is exposing the lack of contacts Soccer Canada has gathered world wide in that time. They literally are staring from zero and that's why we got Panama, Qatar & Uruguay and not top European teams which is what we need to raise our game. They have been dormant for too long. A guy I know well Earl Cochrane just took over the General Secretary role, we might see good things sooner than later.
